Decent meal

Had dinner. Ordered only obvious vegan entree, stir fry with tofu. Expensive at $21.00. It was ok but not great, really sort of boring and uninspired, esp for the price. Talked to the chef and asked for suggestions for an appetizer, telling him we were vegan. He suggested fried green tomatoes and fried pickles. Fried pickles came out with chipotle ranch dressing (dairy). Questioned this, chef said “well some vegans eat dairy” and we told him that is not the case. Told him no eggs or dairy and suggested the only real question to ask a vegan is about honey. Substituted horseradish for ranch. 4 fried dill pickle spears were $9.00. Being in wine country has made everything in Hammondsport much more expensive.

Pros: Friendly staff, Comfortable environment , Good wine selection

Cons: Expensive and not worth it for what you get, Not a lot of options , Questionable knowledge of chef/ kitchen
