This cute little vegan taco shake is perfect for a quick vegan taco fix. There is a ton of outside dining as well. Such a fun vibe and friendly staff. The tacos had so much flavor and did not taste vegan on little bit! 10/10 will go back when I’m in Austin again.😄

My first stop in Austin was here, and I was so happy I set it up this way. The two (I think) guys in the truck are making magic happen. My gf and I got two separate taco trips and in order to continue my quest for best vegan queso in Austin, we got the bean and queso dip (mud dip I think). We enjoyed every single bite! Will return!! We tried the double decker taco, Korean BBQ taco, fish taco and buffalo cauliflower taco.

No exaggeration to say that these have been the best tacos of my life. I've tried two of their brunch tacos and three of their normal menu tacos (twice) and holy cow... The vegan migas, birdie sanders, and the del rey fish taco have been my favorites. I wish I lived in Austin so I could eat here all the time. The taco truck has outdoor seating all around it and there are also other food/coffee trucks here. Great atmosphere.

The food is just ok and the staff is very unfriendly. It also took a very long time and they actually took the order of the person I was with 5 minutes before me so I couldn't even eat with them. There are better vegan taco trucks in Austin that are much better nissa is a must go.

Read moreThey put on a vegan festival/event of sorts earlier in the month so I had grabbed food from several of the other trucks and pop ups who were in the area that day and vegan nom was definitely a standout.
My wife wasn’t able to go but I got her the migas and she vocalized a squeak of excitement and expressed a similar sentiment of dismay over me not getting more stuff from there. I cannot wait to make it back down to this part of town and stop by again and stock up on tacos.

Seems like the staff here have seen the reviews and turned it around, because they were super friendly upon my visit and my food was ready in the estimated 10-minute wait time. Throughout my entire visit to Austin, this was by far the best food truck food I've had the pleasure of tasting. A little sad the Korean BBQ was sold out, but the Birdie Sanders did not disappoint at all. Delicious, junky vegan food with loads of fresh, tasty veggies, lots of flavorful sauce, and perfectly convincing mock meats. Loved the local booch as well!

Ok so the tacos are awesome. However, as evidenced by the below reviews, the customer service is BRUTAL. I ordered my meal first, around 10:50am. I asked if the MacNCheese was ready/would be ready, and they said 15-20 min. I got a receipt from the coffee place next door around 10 minutes later - got the tacos - then continued to wait for the MacNCheese. I went up to the window around the time when they were supposed to be ready, and was told around 15 minutes. This continues until my friends and I were all waiting around, delaying our day plans. We each went up at different times, only to be met by rudeness. Finally, around 11:50am (an hour later) we got the MacNCheese. My friend went up to the cashier to explain the wait, and he was incredibly defensive, saying that he had the receipt to prove it. No apologies or any kind of customer service at all. This sucks because the tacos were incredible but the staff is horrific. This is obviously not the only time they have treated customers with rudeness. A sorry would have gone a super long way. This review system automatically gives a star so this was the lowest rating I was able to give.

The food was pretty good! The girl who took our order was unfriendly and rude for no apparent reason. I’m sure she was just having a bad day but it made for a negative experience. My little family and I were so excited to try this place and it just didn’t quite live up to the hype. We did enjoy the outdoor seating (shaded and has water misting).

We came to Vegan Nom for the first time last Saturday. We were excited to try this place out. We ordered a quesadilla and a few tacos. 15 minutes go by and some guy came up and chit chatted with staff and got his order (didn't see him order, maybe called in), but no food for us yet. The couple sitting on the bench behind us, one of them ordered from Curcuma and already finished their food while the other waited as well. After waiting an additional 12 minutes (27 minutes total!) we still did not have our food. It appeared there was a large order as they were loading up a vehicle. I went up to the truck and said "can you cancel our order? It's been 27 minutes." The lady just said "yeah. We have a big order." No "sorry" or anything. They never once came by to tell anyone (2 other orders after us with no food) that they were running behind. They could have told us our food would be delayed when we first ordered or come by and let everyone know it's going to be a while longer after ordering. Nothing. They just ignored us all. Can't say I want to come back here.

Taco trucks always have like a 30-40 minute wait time. I can bet that guy that came to pick up definitely called ahead. I never bother ordering when I'm there, always call ahead if you want to eat here.

Super good tacos. Cute outdoor space, cute little all vegan coffee and pastries truck east Austin coffee there too, all vegan ice cream truck gati sometimes too. Owner really nice, Shay works there super nice too. Highly recommend three amigos, gracias Madre, migas, or just potato or tempeh and scramble if keeping simple. The fish taco is really good too. Super fresco and birdie Sanders tasty and fun also. Oh and the quesadilla is crazy good - add chikn, or get a breakfast Dilla! Dinner menu fun too. Oh and the quest is yummy. Good salsas too.
