Little shop with an incredible selection of Indian made vegan items

I was really impressed at the wide variety of vegan items packed into this tiny shop tucked away in a corner near Rajiv Gandhi Nagar and Perk's School. I bought some vegan cheese, butter, yoghurt, a couple of snacks and a soap. Everything I have tried so far has been good and the yoghurt was really incredible. Unlike vegan yoghurts I have tried elsewhere in the world e.g. soy yoghurt, this contains peanut, water and yoghurt cultures and nothing else: no thickeners, stabilisers or sweeteners. It reminded me of Indian curd and the peanut taste was negligible. It was great with granola, in curd rice and raita. I do think though that the yoghurt was overpriced given that the ingredients are not very expensive.

They had several types of cheese and the lady at the counter suggested getting the parmesan which was a good choice. They also have tofu, tempeh, chocolate, lots of snacks, ice-creams, etc. but they only accept cash and phone payment (no cards). I would have liked to have sampled a few more things but I did not have enough cash.

Pros: Wide variety of items, Many Indian-made rather than imported, Great that it is in a non-central location

Cons: Not cheap , Cards not accepted (phone payments or cash only)

Must-Visit place in Coimbatore to buy Vegan Goodies

The one and only place in Coimbatore (Currently) selling Vegan products including - Food items, lifestyle products, dairy alternatives, cosmetics etc. My regular purchases include the amazing Organic Smoked Tofu, The Ragi and Coconut Chocolat Bars, The Good Dot Meat alternatives, Good Mylk Cashew Oat Mylk, the homemade Peanut curd, the vijay sweets Vegan mysorepak and the most favorite in the recent past the chocolate fudge ice-cream by Papa Cream. A one-stop store for all things Vegan.

Pros: All-in-One, Knowledgeable Staff

Cons: A little away from the city

The Go-To place for all vegan shoppers

I am a regular customer at Earth Story Coimbatore. They have recently opened and are slowly expanding their product range with careful research. They are making a conscious effort to have 100% vegan products available so you can buy what you want and need with ease. I am a huge fan of the organic smoked tofu that they stock from Auroville! It is a versatile tasty organic tofu option that has been approved by even my non-vegan friends. The other must have is Papa Creams vegan ice cream (chocolate is my favourite). A staple (which is so popular they frequently run out of it) is the peanut curd prepared locally by experts who have been making it for years! I try to call a head to reserve one. Live Yum cheese is another vegan item that is nice to keep in your freezer. When I run out, I grab another mozzarella from Earth Story, which is the more versatile of the two types. A good on the go item is the Just Amazin instant almond milk packets. Super to travel with. So are the fruit strips, but they were too tough for my taste. There is a vegan ghee alternative here which works for rice dishes and dosa too! A more affordable option is Goodmylk cashew and oat milk. I make my own at home, but keep some of these in stock in case I don’t have time to make a fresh batch. I’ve tried nearly all their nut butters, and they are fantastic! The good dot mock meat is one you can use occasionally as a mutton substitute. I made a dish with it for friends who were surprised at the likeness of the texture. To treat myself, I also once picked up a Disguise lipstick (color: Chef) which is a great colour but needs to be used with a moisturiser or base balm because it’s a bit drying on the lips. The natural Aloe Vera is great, highly absorbent and no fragrance. Looking forward to getting more vegan options👍🏽

Pros: Open to suggestions and feedback, Conscious expansion of products , Super customer service

Cons: Limited range, Some items expensive

Wonderful place for vegans.

Although they are still in the process of including a lot of things, you will find a good amount of things like plant milks, butters and ghees, nut butters, cereals, cheese and icecream. Even nooch. And most of the items are well within the budget range.
