My new local - Edit

We moved from Fitzroy to Thornbury a couple of months ago. Apart from Vegie Bar and Red Sparrow Pizza, we’re not pining for Fitzroy. But I was worried I wouldn’t find good vegan pub food. Thornbury Local fills that gap. Great vegan Po’ Boy and good vegan bean pattie burger with yummy chips. (I preferred the Po’ Boy, but the burger is good too). Loved the vibe and people. Really warm service (thank you Ayreton!), excellent drinks (including reasonably priced Laphroig) and pub prices. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised with The Thornbury Local - Edit

I think The Thornbury Local will become my new “pub” meal venue. There are a handful of really delicious vegan options: bean burger, pizza, and my *favourite* Fried Tofu Po’ Boy.

The tofu is tasty and fluffy, yummy sauce and fillings, with shoestring fries - what more could you want?

Ambiance is really lovely and happening - often with live music. Thank you Thornbury Local.
