GO HERE!!!!!

The menu is SUPER fresh and everything is made with love and intention. The chai and golden milk were soooo yummy and comforting. The summer rolls were a huge delicious portion for the price. The staff are really beautiful people worth supporting --- but BEST part? This place is teeming with cool, compassionate people and they always have amazing events going on. We ended up there on a Saturday Open Mic Night and it broke our heart open into ooeygooey love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't miss out on this place!

Pros: Community Event and amazing vibes, really fresh food, awesome people and staff

Cons: gets busy so there could be a wait

Disappointing

Well, if you want to enjoy a variety of food any reasonable time you feel hungry,- that's not a place to go. VERY limited menu, as well as working hours. Besides their menu limitations, they might "run out" of some items. I wanted to try their burger (which was highly recommended by other reviewers), but she didn't have it. Yes, on Saturday night. I tried to order one more "reviewed" item, a chocolate lava cake, - nope. They didn't have it "this week". So I ended up ordering a piece of peanut butter cake (partially raw), and it was so so, IMHO, it wasn't worth 80 baht; too chewy, dense, and too much sugar (or other sweetener, it didn't matter to me; just over-sweetened). I've tried a lot of raw desserts before, and the one I got was pretty disappointing. The place it self was poorly lit and decorated, no AC of course, and even no fans. Just two regular tables with chairs, and soft floor mats with low bamboo tables. A low budget, Koh Phangan yogi style place, if you know what I'm talking about. The good thing about them is that they think of environment issues, and they gave me for my take-away order a container made of recycled paper, instead of plastic (like everywhere else in Asia). As a conclusion, I wouldn't come back, especially being in a town like Chiang Mai, with dozens of vegetarian and vegan eateries in the area.

Pros: eco-friendly take-away containers

Cons: limited opening hours, limited menu, location is far away from everything

100% Vegan

This fabulous place does really good whole foods and raw foods and has desserts that are out of this world! Go to one of their movie night and enjoy one of their 100% vegan dishes, a rare find in Chiang Mai.
They don't have that many options in the menu but they are looking to expand.
We love that it's all unique and healthy!

amazing food, amazing people!

Came here for a movie night and was delighted by great food! Nokk is so sweet and even made the Fresh Spring rolls sauce gluten free for me. Be sure to try one of their rotating nightly raw vegan deserts!

Best Place in Chiang Mai

There is nowhere quite like this beautiful setting anywhere in Chiang Mai. You could be in Pai or some quiet town cut off from the noises of the city. The large open space surrounding the building is full of trees and a pond which comes alive at night with the sound of frogs. This is definitely the place to come if you want to meet conscious minded folks. Everything is vegan and is spectacular tasting especially their signature Tempeh Burger which just melts in your mouth! The smoothies are delicious and are full of good quality ingredients, my favourites being the Choco Crunch and the Ultimate Green smoothie. The owner Nokk speaks fantastic English and is just so polite and gives great service.

Pros: Great events like movie night or jam night, The highest of vibes vegan food anywhere, The loveliest restaurant owner in Thailand

Cons: I can't live at this restaurant

Great food. Great space. Great Service.

I came here and had a burger and a shake and it was amazing and very well priced considering the ingredients. This place is worth a visit if you are in town.

Pros: Great space, Friendly service, Diverse customers

excellent atmosphere, great food, super chill.

So glad to have been able to frequent this place while it was still open! The tofu burger is awesome, best we've had in Chiang mai, and the fresh/raw spring rolls have the most amazing dip. So good. We also bought some all natural shampoo while here (for super cheap), and absolutely love it! Oh yeah, and the kombucha, although expensive, was super delish (not overly vinegar-y like some places). Hope to see them reopen soon so we can come back during our next Chiang mai visit :)

Pros: great atmosphere, lovely staff , tasty and healthy food!

Cons: a little on the expensive side for some things

Nourishing community hub

**After February they are closing - temporarily as I understand it - to relocate. So check directly with them before visiting.

The overall vibe is non-rushed, stay as long as you like, relax, recline. Floor seating, cushions, guitars, plenty of spaces.

Food: delicious, organic, mostly vegan. The tofu burger is the best, 90tbh. The tea selection includes Ayurvedic blends plus old favourites - loved the soy chai, 60tbh. The smoothies were my least favourite, mostly coconut milk, 80tbh.

What I recommend most are the events. I LOVED the Open Mic nights. By the end of the evening I'd feel so energised & inspired by the beautiful people who got up & shared something. I got to enjoy diverse music, spoken word, magic, even a Karen rapper.

Tea Tree really embodies the overall feel of Chiang Mai - creative yet inclusive, buzzing with life yet relaxed.

Pros: tofu burger is ace, events are inspiring!

Cons: smoothie flavours could be improved, no coffee, but it IS a tea cafe so.. fair enough

Laid back western place

Ate here ones on my trip to CM. Had a iced lemon-ginger-tea. This was nice, really strong ginger. Then ordered a fresh spring roll. These were huge and wery delicious. Served with sweet'n'sour chili sauce. Food was great, the place was nice and the toilet was clean. The service was a bit slow, but it was because there were over 10 of us and they prepared every dish from the sratch after order.
Price a bit more expensive than other places, but as said, this is a western style palce, run by westeners for westeners.
They had WIFI.

Pros: Taste, Portion size, Clean toilet

Cons: Price, Slow service

Very cool place to relax

The café is the perfect to hang out after a long day. It is so confortable to sit and the music and the whole ambiente is relaxing the mind.
In my opinion the food is great and I cannot understand if people say it's blond. I had the flatbread with fried veggies and you can see and taste that it is made with love. It takes a little longer as they make it fresh but it is worth the waiting. The coconut chai is great too.
I can't say anything bad about it except that it sometimes opens later than 5.

Pros: great food, even raw, relaxing atmosphere, convenient sitting

Awesome ice cream

I've been there once so far and I really liked the atmosphere. It's nice to seat on cushions but a little bit hard when you are not used eating like that.

Their whole wheat bread is great, in a Veggie Flatbread filled with vegetables.

The Tahini dip with vegetables was a little bit boring...

Both savory dishes were with lack of salt in my opinion. So, it's a bad good thing because I know it's much more healthy :)

But the amazing think was the peanut butter with banana ice cream. So good!

Pros: vegan-friendly, ice cream

Cons: no chairs

Relaxed

Very good food without worrying about animal product being mixed in. Menu is small but covers the basics that a tea/coffee shop should. Prepare to lounge on the floor, Thai style.

Pros: Good Food, Relaxed Atmosphere , Decorative

Cons: Floor Sitting

Just Great! :-)

I love the Tea Tree Cafe! It's a lovely place to have coffee/ tea, eat and hang out. The food is delicious and there is big variety of vegetarian food and a nice choice of coffees and special tees. The Masala Chai is the best in Chiang Mai, I love it. I can also recommend the Banana Pancakes! For the drinks and food the best ingredients are used. If you haven't been there yet, make sure you visit the Tee Tree Cafe! Its super comfortable, there are movie evenings and jam sessions (check on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theteatreechiangmai )

Pros: lots of love in the food, best Masala Chai in Chiang Mai :), healthy
