The best vegan options in the midwest - Edit
Ambience was great, speedy service. There was a whole section for the vegan food - with Beyond burgers, curries, and pasta. It came quickly and I thoroughly enjoyed my burger. It was served with vegan sauce and fries, it felt like the burger was not missing anything; juicy and tasty.

Delicious food, beautiful decor - Edit
We recently visited the taproom after hearing they had some great vegan options. We were not disappointed! I was looking for some vegan junk and had the veg chilli topped nachos which were divine, big portion with loads of flavour from the homemade chilli. My husband had the veg Thai red curry and it was spot on. Having travelled to Thailand often UK dishes aren’t created quite the same but this was beautiful, delicately spiced and a generous portion. For dessert we shared the vegan waffle and ice cream, we did not really have space for it but wanted to try it and again it was really good. Can’t wait to visit again and try some of their other options!

Used to be lovely prior to the change of management. Last time I went I had the saltiest chilli known to man, and they put real cheese on vegan nachos.

I am not able to recommend this bistro for vegans. It has very limited options. I ordered the burger which I did not like as it was very plain and dry. After waiting ages to be served, the waitress then forgot my order so I went to the bar myself. A few minutes later she brought the glass of wine over but the glass was unwashed and had a bright red lipstick mark on it!

Exceeded expectations - Edit
I was not overly excited about my visit to the Taproom today having previously read less than shining reviews but the vegan chilli and nachos was really delicious- home made chilli without any meat substitutes! The staff were very helpful and catered for our tricky needs. My friends really enjoyed their choices too. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others

Vegan friendly cool venue - Edit
Modern venue with vegan chef and a newly launched Green menu. The food is lovely, hit drinks available with oat or soya plant milk. Vegan Food Share is hosted here on the first Monday of each month.

Fantastic place for vegans. Want to give it 5 stars, but app won't let me as non-vegan items on their menu. Vegan chefs coming up with amazing food. They even let us have our vegan food share there for free first Monday of every month. Amazing

Had a fab vegan breakfast here and noticed there were lots of options on the lunch and dinner menu too! Apparently the head chef is vegan - thank you for being able to put together such a great selection!

The Tap Room is not somewhere I would normally visit. Not for any particular reason other than as a vegan there were limited options. However, now I have sampled their awesome vegan menu, I will be back regularly.
Read moreIn most bar/restaurants these days you tend to find a few vegan options added on at the end of the menu. Or not at all. Usually the options are a little boring, so it was so refreshing and such a delight to find a full vegan lunch and dinner menu at the tap room.
Today I tried the crispy black bean burger. It was tasty, well seasoned and well executed. I can't wait to try the vegan chilli next time I visit.
If you are a vegan, vegetarian, or just bored of standard bar food, I honestly suggest you try the vegan menu.
