Vegan Pizza in a Quirky, Homely Restaurant - Edit
Dining at The Station House feels like going for dinner at someone's cosy little home, with its private rooms, creaky floorboards and old fashioned knick-knacks decorating the walls and surfaces. They are clearly wanting to make their menu accessible to vegans, though the options could be made clearer in print. One vegan main dish is listed on the menu itself: a chickpea and vegetable filled ravioli in rich tomato sauce (which was really tasty). It then directs diners to ask their waiter about vegan pizza and dessert options. Our waiter confirmed that vegan cheese was available, so we could choose any pizza toppings such as tomatoes, mixed vegetables and mushrooms. And they certainly know how to make a good pizza - it was huge with a generous amount of cheese on a tasty base that was neither too thin nor too doughy.
