Delicious Mexican food, beautiful pub - Edit
I wish I could go there every day. The food is just amazing, and although it is a pub, there isn't this foul beer smell like in most pubs. It was clean, the sofa was really confy, and there was a lovely wibe. I really look forward to going back.

Great pub & food. Quirky decor with a Mexican theme (think skulls). We had pretty much the whole menu & it was great. The ice cream was absolutely delicious too. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love the Spread Eagle and am lucky enough to live nearby. The Mexican food is very tasty and all my non-vegan friends also love it. The staff are really friendly and are welcoming to dogs as well as people. Go! You will leave happy and full :)

Popcorn chick’n salad is to die for! - Edit
I’m not a huge fan of salad, but this place has converted me (at least, while I’m there) and I will choose the popcorn chick’n salad every time! The seitan chorizo quesadilla, wings, fried potatoes and nachos are also fab!

Friendly, helpful staff and a pleasant atmosphere- the food was all tasty and suited sharing with beer, of which there was a good choice. Portion sizes were a bit small for the price was really enjoyable and would recommend a visit.

Fabulously tasty Club Mexicana food. I'm not good with particularly hot food but our waitress was very helpful pointing out those dishes that were less hot or could be served with the chilli sauce on the side. I opted for the tacos and loved all three. The tortilla chips that I shared were great too.
Read moreMy only negative in terms of the food was that I wasn't convinced by the deep fried icecream (the only dessert option). I think I will just have another side and skip dessert next time.
Being a pub there is a great selection of drinks (all vegan) including beer on draught. They made a rather good mojito for me.
The pub atmosphere was nice (it wasn't too noisy early evening) and the decor was attractive too.

Brilliant pub. The interior, alcohol and food all vegan. It’s such a pleasure to be in a great place like this and not think about what you’re eating. Club Mexicana is delicious and everything is decently priced. The owners are also super friendly. Everything is brilliant about this place. And it’s so great, that you can bring your meat eating friends and they wouldn’t even notice ;)

I absolutely love Club Mexicana - it totally changed the way I saw vegan food eating out. Everything is super delicious and every single omni friend I’ve taken there has LOVED it. Absolute favourite has to be the tofish taco.

Excellent vegan food that doesn't sacrifice flavour - Edit
If you're someone who likes your food to taste "healthy", this probably isn't the place for you. There's lots of fried food, including the highly-recommended triple fried potatoes and deep fried ice cream, and it's good. Really good. The food is thanks to a residency by Club Mexicana, whose most talked-about dish is the tofish taco. Try it (or the tofish torta) and you'll see what all the fuss is about. The menu is small. All the drinks are vegan and the beer and white wine we had were good. It was very busy, particularly surprising given its location, and you should make a reservation if you want to eat. It's also very noisy so don't expect to be able to hear what the person next to you is saying -- just concentrate on enjoying your meal.

Quite good Mexican food. We had two nachos and one burger. Prices are a bit too high for what you get and the burger was overloaded with too much mustard. The two nachos were quite small.

Club Mexicana in the kitchen for the tastiest vegan Mexican food - perfect pub grub and especially for sharing with friends. Fantastic atmosphere and setting, in a beautiful old pub recently refurbished in cruelty-free furnishings. Vegan drinks including a ‘to die for’ tequila sour.

Went here with group of 10. I was the only vegan. Friends couldn’t believe how tasty the food was. The tofuish is to die for. Their cheesy dishes also taste like dairy cheese. Staff super friendly and atmosphere great. Love the concept of a vegan pub so all alcohol and furniture is vegan. Will definitely come again.
