Banging brunch

Hipster cafe with the strongest mullets and tashes in town. That aside, the food is fantastic and the staff do their best to look after you.

Delicious waffles and smoothies

The food was delicious and drinks. Just what we needed. So many vegan options I'd definitely go back.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Vegan waffles!, Friendly servers

Cons: Didn't like that the prices weren't on menu

Amazing little place with lovely vibes, great coffee and even better food

I honestly can’t praise the grand howl highly enough - the owner Greg has done a fantastic job over the years to keep the quality of the food and in house roasted coffee impeccable. Easily the best place in hackney to go for vegan brunch, also good for takeaway vegan pastries and a delicious coffee. Only comment is it is quite small and gets super busy on a weekend late morning so make sure you get there in plenty of time!

Pros: Inventive and delicious food , Best coffee I’ve ever had, Friendly staff who genuinely care

Cons: Only con is the size of the place

Great coffee roasted on site

Came on a recommendation from someone at a nearby roastery. Really enjoyed the coffee. Banana bread served in huge slices is also great. Fully vegetarian brunch / lunch menu.

Pros: Fully vegetarian menu, Vegan friendly

Cons: Quite expensive, Very very hipster

So hipster

A nice cafe space but I found it not particularly friendly and far too hipster. I wouldn't come back.

Lovely sandwich, great coffee, nice staff!

Had the breakfast sandwich, with scrambled tofu, sausages and tomato chutney between two slices of toasted sourdough, which was great! Rounded it off with an equally good flat oat(ly), and left full and happily caffeinated!
