Delicious roast in a cosy pub! - Edit
I’ve had this one on my list for a while and it didn’t disappoint!
Read moreWe went on a Sunday afternoon and it was really busy (we had to wait a few minutes for our booked table) so I would definitely recommend booking. The pub had a cosy decor and casual feel with the staff all in casual clothes.
Me and my wife went for the Beet Wellington and Slow Roast Celeriac & Crackling roasts, and our non-vegan friend went for the Walnut & Cashew Nut Roast and the Flatbread and Hummus. The roasts were delicious! The roast potatoes were crispy with fluffy centres, the veggies were flavoursome and cooked perfectly and the Yorkshire was also really tasty with a nice squidgy texture. The Beet Wellington was nice and ‘meaty’ and the celeriac was also very tasty. I personally preferred the Wellington but my wife preferred the Celeriac so I can recommend both! Our roasts also came with lots of gravy.
Our friend also polished off his plate so the nut roast must’ve been good too! I also got to try his hummus which was nice and creamy.
For dessert me and my wife had the ‘Sticky Toffee Pudding, Vanilla Ice Cream, Toffee Sauce’, and the S’mores Cup.
Both were really tasty! The Sticky Toffee Pudding had a rich flavour and nice dense texture, and the S’mores cup was also really tasty. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was my favourite of the two but they were both good!
Pros: Delicious roasts, Bustling and cosy pub with a cool vibe, Delicious desserts!

Worth my trip! Delightful meal! - Edit
Had to wait until 5pm for the kitchen to open, but that was my fault for being hungry and arriving early! (Hint:decent coffee shop across the way if you arrive before 4!)
Read moreI had the Risotto and roasted pumpkin as well as the Fennel and burnt onions. I accompanied that with a cherry negroni and followed it with an apple pie and thyme custard.
Pros: The food was nearly too good!, Everything is vegan!, Lovely staff
Cons: Wish it were open more hours, Gets crowded; go early, Maybe get a simple/standard cocktail

Unreal share board - Edit
Dropped by Spread eagle on our first night in London and caught up with family, we were all still a little full from lunch so we opted for a bottle of Tempranillo and some shares - we got the Camembert wheel and the share plate. It was absolutely everything we needed and more - from the squashage to the hummus, the board had the most perfect range of flavours and “feel good” food that made us feel so warm and welcomed to London.
Read moreThe Camembert with the toasted bread was out of this world incredible. How they managed to get the skin on the wheel like that is beyond me and deserves some serious praise. All the flavours were fab and we would absolutely come back here on our next stop in London.
Pros: Share board, Camembert cheese, Temperanillo

Doesn’t disappoint! - Edit
The Spread Eagle is a must-stop spot in London! It was incredibly hard to choose what to get but we ended up with the Whole baked Shamembert, the deep fried lasagna, the mini squashage rolls, and Korean burger and fries. Everything was amazing - we also got drinks. Definitely get the lasagna and bring friends to share! The pub is really cute too, has a ton of space, a pool table in the back, and an outdoor area at the back. Service was great and they helped us narrow down what to get, because we wanted everything.
Read moreThe spread eagle has been on my list for quite a while now, but being as I’m from America, this was my first time! Will definitely go back if/when I’m back in London. Thank you!
Pros: Great service, Delicious food

Friendly English Pub - Edit
As two Canadians walking around London, we had wished we could experience an authentic English pub, and The Spread Eagle made this possible. We really enjoyed the Sunday roasts. The Yorkshire pudding was a special treat. We will be back next Sunday; it's that good.
Read moreThe Sticky Toffee Pudding, by the way, is not to be missed!
The waitstaff were all friendly and helpful and made the entire experience very pleasant.

Outstanding Sunday roast - Edit
Yum! We shared the beet Wellington and loved it all. The Yorkshire pudding was stellar as were the roast potatoes and horseradish sauce. Even the cabbage was delectable as well as the Wellington. I wish we could have tried more things on the menu.

I was lucky to come on a sunday and hence got to experience their incredible sunday roast! The really fab roasts are made in-house with a range of different ingredients, and then all the classic trimmings like Yorkshire pudding, gravy, veggies and mint jelly! Amazing 😍😍😍

OMG Sunday roast - Edit
The Sunday roast was honestly one of the most insane meals I’ve ever eaten. The potato’s were up there with the best I’ve ever eaten. I have the beef Wellington and it was utterly amazing. Also grabbed the cheese board which I can’t even explain how good it was

Nice roast! - Edit
Went for the Sunday roast. We tried both the nut and the beet roasts and both were great, though the latter is probably better. Prices are a tad on the high side, but the space is nice and staff was friendly.

Average food at premium price - Edit
Had the Beet Wellington Sunday roast, it was ok nothing bad about it. But for £17 I was expecting something to stand out and be amazing, it wasn't. Not worth travelling to but if you are in the area it's an option.

100% vegan pub! - Edit
I can only hope it is the first of many more vegan pubs in the future... I really love the atmosphere inside, lots of good vibes! Their instagram page is quite helpful to know what to order. We tried many things, even went back there on a Sunday especially to try their roast menu (among all of us, we had an overview of all options, as you can see on the pictures).
Read moreAll our plates left our table completely empty. Portions are quite big, so make sure you’re hungry as it would be a shame not to have enough room to try several dishes. Service is fast and staff is warm and friendly, I can’t fault them! The only thing is only the roast menu is available on Sundays, maybe it would be better to keep the daily menu open that day too as an alternative.

Beet wellington! - Edit
Very fun to find a vegan wellington. Tasty food and surprisingly quick considering they were slammed on a Sunday night. I only managed to snag a bar seat walking in so probably advisable to reserve in advance if you plan to come at a busy time. Be aware that the beet wellington and some other roast items are only available on Sundays. Lively place and very fun festive decorations. Recommend giving them a try!

Sunday Lunch - Edit
This is a brilliant pub in Homerton which does an extensive vegan menu and a welcome Sunday roast which veers from the usual nut roast. We had Squashage Roll (as the name suggest it's squash instead of sausage. In a roll) to start followed by Beet Wellington. SOOOO tasty and cooked to perfection. With the added bonus of a vegan Yorkshire pud🙌.

Fine vegan dining, in a pub! - Edit
The pub setting might make you think the food will be fast and basic. It is anything but that. The menu is extensive. Perfect flavours, good portions and very friendly staff. And being in a pub there’s a huge array of drinks to go with your dinner.
