One of the better ones! - Edit
We came, we ate, we left smiling. Tasty and filling, with enough spices. A good place if you can't decide whether you want a light lunch or big filling lasagna!

One of our two favorites in Bali - Edit
The Seeds of Life nails the travelers' restaurant formula, with a diverse menu of delicious and salubrious food served with warmth in a great hang-out atmosphere. The menu is mostly raw, but with some dishes cooked at low temperature to preserve the living enzymes.
Read moreThe results speak for themselves. We loved the warm gnocchi, Mexican lasagna, Bleu cheese rawvioli special, and the many delicious desserts. The only thing we found less than amazing (but still OK) was the tempeh satay bits. Fresh juices are also a plus.
There are four seating sections: outside in front, inside on the ground floor, the tea room further inside, and an open-air upstairs seating area (the breeziest on a hot day).
Service was warm and helpful, even if sometimes a little overwhelmed by the crowds at peak times. Prices are reasonable considering the quality (and a little more affordable than some comparable establishments in the area).
Enjoy!

SO MUCH FLAVOR - Edit
To be honest I’m vegan but never seek out raw food. This place blew my mind at how delicious everything was! I tried the SOL Bowl because it came with all kinds of things like coconut jerky, hummus, spirulina and way more. The portion was great and one of the best meals I’ve had on this trip. Definitely worth checking out.

Incredible food - go!!! - Edit
Try everything!! I had their daily special of rawvioli made with beets and cashew Gorgonzola and it blew my mind. The colours, the taste - absolutely unbelievable. Their dessert case is to die for. I had the tiramisu and the guy at the next table had to ask me what I was eating because I looked so happy. Prices are very reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food. Love the cozy and comfortable seating.

Amazing raw food...for most of the dishes - Edit
We ordered way too much for 4 - I’m quite amazed by the quantity of food with that price! Everything was very healthy, both by western and TCM standards. The Mexican lasagne was my favourite - so wholesome and flavourful and surprisingly refreshing. I think it set my standards a little too high for what raw lasagne should taste like. On the other hand, the SOL bowl was a little too... garlicky? But not to the point i couldn’t finish, and at some point it became my second dish because (as much as I hate to admit) it’s one of those dishes that just grows on you. I didn’t really enjoy the warmed quiche, and none of us really liked the mushroom gnocchi, but I think it’s just us not knowing how to appreciate dishes like this. I don’t like tiramisu due to the cocoa, but according to my parents... this is the worst tiramisu they have ever tasted. That said, they’re not vegan, and are definitely not a fan of raw cakes. The carrot cake, on the other hand, tasted somewhat milder and more wholesome, and the not-too-heavy take on a typically dense dish was what redeemed it and made it addictive.

Great raw food - Edit
The raw food here ia really tasty and they have nice sweets as well.
Read moreNice space, two floors and very chilled/yogi atmosphere.
The dishes are kinda small but I was impressed on how I was satisfied after the burguer juice.
Can't give 5 stars because of the price tho, expect to pay around 100k for one dish juice.
Pros: Vegan, Raw, Atmosphere
Cons: Expensive

Usually I'm not too fussed about raw; it's good sometimes but not as satisfying as cooked. SOL was a shocker in that it was some of the best food I've eaten since going vegan. Gastronomic high point of three months traveling Asia, for sure. The SOL Bowl is the gem; a bunch of seemingly incongruous ingredients which actually make a harmonious whole for an unbelievable value. I recommend eating half of it part by part before mixing! The other dishes I tried, the brownie and the enchilada, weren't as filling but still delicious. The enchilada especially, holy crap. The only weak point is the apparent understaffing; if it's any kind of busy, you may have to wait several minutes for anyone to acknowledge your existence or fulfill a request. Seems to be a theme in Bali though.

The Seeds of Satisfaction - Edit
While in Ubud we went to The Seeds of Life for breakfast. They have an extensive juice and smoothie menu, as well as lots of raw food options. The place is very chill and relaxing. We had a smoothie, a juice, the pancakes, and the scramble, all of which were excellent. The food did take a bit of time to come out. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

awesome raw vegan food - Edit
This place is just awesome! They have a huge vegan menu and everything you could possibly wish for. I had plate full off different salads, homemade crisp bread, hummus, antipasti and falafel. Well, the falafel weren’t really made from chickpeas and very hard, but everything else was great. Besides SOL offers a lot off teas, juices and so on. Go there and give it a try, it’s totally worth it.

First time eating raw, we tried the burrito which probably was mainly lettuce. The bruchettas were delicious but they were probably to small for the price. Desserts were great.

Surprising taste - Edit
I would surely recommend this restaurant. The decor is modern and relaxed (you can seat on cushions) and they have a huge menu. I had a healthy juice with carrot, turmeric, pineapple, orange and an Indian pizza. I was really surprised by the quality and the intensity of the flavours. The pizza was great and very filling, it's not big but all ingredients are concentrated. I had a hard time finishing it because I was full so fast (and I came in hungry!). The prices are also OK, not so different from any other vegan place in Ubud, plus this is raw food and it is usually more expensive.

first time raw did not disappoint ! - Edit
Been vegan for over a year now but it was my first time eating raw food. I ordered the vege wrap and my partner ordered the tacos, the tacos were a bit small for the price paid but my vege wrap was lovely. The juices are big and taste so healthy. Good chill vibe throughout the place and I love the whole sitting on the floor. Very trendy spot with loads of raw options.

Simply Amazed - Edit
I stumbled across The Seeds of Life while walking around and was so glad I did. The food was some of the best and of course freshest food I've had in my nearly 6 months of backpacking around SE Asia. I got the Raw Mexican Lasagna and wow. The flavors were so warm and rich. I'm now wondering what life would be like if I ate like this all the time. So good.

Superb Vegan Deliciousness - Edit
This was one of the best places I ate in Ubud.
Read moreMy partner ordered the cauliflower and pesto gnocchi while I ordered the "bacon and eggs" burrito then we finished off with a mocca cheesecake.
The quality of the food was incredible - all raw and amazing. Everything was way beyond the usual 'substitute for meat' quality into actual gourmet 'what is this sorcery' terrain. This is the real face of the raw food revolution.
An easy ten out of ten for the food.
Pros: World class food, Completely raw, Very reasonably priced
