Ordered some bad things

Had the SOL bowl, was amazing!
So was the mocha cheese cake I had. Yum!
However, also ordered the cauliflower bites, so bloody average it was gross. And then the aloe Vera sashimi plate and it was the most fowl thing I have ever eaten.
Wanted to vomit.
Overall the atmosphere was nice and staff were lovely.

Pros: All vegan / raw

Cons: Expensive , Strange foods on menu

Carta variada y maravillosa

Cons: Es chico , Hay pocas mesas

To hip for its own good

Disclaimer: I’m old (52) so this may be reflected in my review.

A huge menu that had a zillion tonics for warts to cancer so that is good. I had a nice tofu scramble breakfast and nice green tea and a lovely raw cake.

The issue I have is the lack of seating. There were more young hip people sitting around on their phones and laptops not ordering food, making finding a seat during the quiet season challenging. Clearly I’m too old and not tolerant enough for this sort of place. Young hip people knock yourself out

I heard a podcast (PlantProof) on Itunes with the owner and he has an amazing raw food and life story to share. It’s worth a listen! That podcast is the key reason I sought out Seeds of Life.

Nice food

The food is pretty good and there’s plenty to choose from but we got ridiculously bloated from eating here. If you’re into raw food you’ll love it but I don’t think it was really my thing.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Bloating food, Expensive

Nice enough

Nice place with big menu. Menu is a bit long and descriptive (the drinks menu has so much text I gave up 😂).

Tried the pesto burger which tasted great but would probably have made more sense as an open sandwich as it was tricky to eat like a burger.
Also tried the cauliflower ‘buffalo wings’ which was just fried cauliflower. This tasted great but should have been called ‘cauliflower bites’ or something as they were nothing like ‘buffalo wings’.

Pros: All vegan , Tasty food

Cons: Stop describing food like it’s meat when it’s veg

Heerlijke chia pudding

Great vegan/raw/organic food

Large menu with tons of options to suit any taste. Huge juice/smoothie menu, lots of interesting options to choose from. The veggie burger (Love Burger) was delicious, and the curry butter veggie noodles were excellent. You should come here if you're in Ubud!

Pros: Huge menu, good food, great juice!, They take credit cards

Cons: Gotta take your shoes off, no alcohol

Raw heaven

Seeds of Life has the most incredible raw food. Admittedly not all the options are that exciting, but the ones that perform really are sensational! The Mexican lasagne reminds me of lasagne from my omni days (the tacos on Tuesdays use the same “meat” and are also brilliant), the pesto gnocchi was quite the surprise, and the Sol Bowl is very filling but super fresh and delightful. The samosas and the coleslaw also have wonderful flavour combinations. Of the sweet options, the breakfast pancakes are a hit, as well as the passion fruit cheesecake.

Dishes that I would happily pass over are the laksa (it’s nice but didn’t feel like the experience of laksa), the pizza base I found to be too heavy, and the cauliflower buffalo wings are nothing special. The Italian lasagne special is nice, but I would go for the Mexican one even when the Italian one is on offer.

The vibe at this place is also lovely (noticeably better than Alchemy where many seem to be using it as a coworking space and the ambience is more sterile).

Pros: Tasty diverse options, All raw, Vibe

Cons: Pricey, Not all dishes are winners

So fresh!

As far as raw food places go, this is the best I've tried, it's not the typical salad that leaves you hungry after one hour, the food here will fill you up for hours. Everything I tried was super fresh and delicious.

Divine

This place is entirely vegan and the food and drinks are awesome. Compared to other Places is might be a bit expensive but nothing compared to Western prices. Theres a loooot of option from many different cuisines - and glutenfree as well. Good and central.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

A real crowd splitter

The reviews of this place are seriously mixed. Even in our party of 4, some people enjoyed it, others did not. What is undeniable is that their juices, kombucha and sweet treats and amazing!

Too Hippy Dippy for Me

This was the first restaurant we tried out in Ubud and not our favourite. Most seating is on the floor with cushions which was kind of fun at first but loses its charm when your waiting a long time for your food and aren't one of the lucky people with a wall to lean against. All the food is raw which was new to us but we were game to give it a go and ordered several juices, cold teas, pizza, laksa and the walnut pesto burger. The Laksa was just okay, although filling. The pizza was good but tiny portions (a single piece) and we had to order two second portions for the kids. My husbands burger, again was not bad but also not spectacular and left him hungry. After 90min and still no juices, we gave up and went elsewhere even though the desserts looked good. It was very busy and the staff were clearly trying hard accommodate but service was really slow. I appreciate what this restaurant is trying to do and if you're a raw vegan it might totally be a gem for you...just wasn't for us!

Pros: Raw - if that's your jam

Cons: Meh food, Slow service

Amazing raw food!

AMAZING raw food restaurant in central Ubud!
Peaceful setting in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the city with a vast menu that has so many options you’ll find yourself going back multiple times to try everything! Absolutely delicious and creative menu! Entirely soy free, it was easy to enjoy every single meal and treat!
Recommend this place for a healthy and filling meal! And grab some treats to go!

Pros: Raw vegan , Plenty gluten free, ALL soy free!!

Essen kann was

Visually pleasing, but not my cup of tea

To be honest, I felt that the food looked more appetising than it actually tasted... It wasn't terrible, but I wasn't blown away... and afterwards, didn't particularly feel like I wanted to revisit.

Regarding the food - the spices were not well balanced in my opinion. Overbearing at times and just distracting at others. I tried the buffalo wings as they looked really good in the photos I'd seen, but frankly I wouldn't order them again as the cauliflower was, oddly, spicy yet bland at the same time, if that makes any sense! It didn't taste properly seasoned I guess. Had the samosa too (I was eager to try different dishes)... but again, it wasn't really to my liking. It was just okay, not particularly great (the outer layer tasted kind of bland and dry, and the veggies and salad were overpoweringly spicy). The beet juice was nice, but maybe a poor choice on my part, because there was a lot of spice in the food I'd got, and the juice itself tasted like it had a lot of spice in it too.

There is a lot of fabulous vegan food in Ubud - particularly in this neighbourhood (Goutama), so maybe my expectations were too high. I don't know. I was frankly disappointed by the food (and service) here, and doubt that I will visit again. One last thing... I don't know if I was just unlucky, but the staff member who tended to me on the day was not very friendly, which was a bit jarring as everywhere else I have been to in Ubud had super friendly staff.

Ok, not great.

We went there on our first day in Ubud and it was ok, but we found much better options elsewhere in Ubud (Moksa, Sage, Sayuri Healing Food, etc).

Pros: Quite a few vegan options, The laksa was quite good

Cons: The gnocchi was awful (and not like gnocchi)

My favourite restaurant in Bali

The juices are , the food is all raw and they have a different style of food each day. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are very friendly. We came twice or three times for food but practically everyday for juices!

Pros: Amazing food and juices , Friendly service

Good drinks, average food

Great juice and tea. We had the pancakes which were like dry biscuits. Just because you can make something look like a raw pancake doesn't mean you should. The granola was pretty good but nothing special. Overall we weren't inspired to come back.

Our favourite restaurant in Ubud

We visited this great raw restaurant almost every day during our holidays in Ubud and simply loved the food. The dishes were consistently fresh and amazing. Besides the great dishes they also offer a broad range of teas, juices and smoothies.

Pros: Tons of raw vegan options, Nice location, Friendly staff
