Pleasant and welcoming

If I could give 5 I would (but happy cow does not allow it if the restaurant is not entirely vegan/vegetarian). I would recommend the tofu curry 🍛👍

Pros: The smile, The food , The place

Vegan and vegetarian with a cause

3 lovely ladies cooking in a basic looking kitchen with proceeds (and a small trinket shop) going to help Tibetan school children. We had an aubergine(eggplant) and a tofu curry. Both very nice.

Pros: Whole food vegan food, As much cold tea and kimchi as you like, Very filling and tasty curries.

Cons: A little bit of a hike up hill for 20mins

Cute place, very nice food

It's a ten minute walk from Gyeongbokgung station. Very tiny and cute place, has an outdoor as well as an indoor setting. I had rice with Tofu curry, was very tasty. Pricing was decent too.

Very good space

The tofu curry is very good. As is the cardamon chai. The staff are all very sweet and the space is welcoming.

There's also a lil shop attached where you can buy handmade items. Like with the restaurant, all proceeds help refugees.

Great curry for great cause

As others have noted, this place is linked to an NGO that assists Tibetian refugees. Food for a cause.

The tofu curry was really nice. A bit different in that it is not spicy but still flavorful. The soy chai was also really good and not sweet.

In winter (mid-Nov) they serve a seaonal curry made with local spinach and tofu.

There is also a great feel to the place.

You can ask for chilli oil if need to make curry spicy. It is much better with a bit of heat..

Great for both vegans and non-vegans!

I was looking for a place to eat with my friends after visiting the near by palace and we found this spot on happy cow. Very nice and cozy place. We had the tofu curry. Tasted like good home cooking and the prices were low.

Nice and cozy Place

This place has a few limited vegan options that are quiet good. It was probably not the best tofu curry in the world but it was tasty, filling and I mostly liked the atmosphere at this place.

limited cafe but everything is delicious!

Not completely veggie anymore, as there is a chicken curry, but there’s mostly veggie options, and plenty of different soy lattes! Meals are between 10-12,000, reasonable portions, cute decor, there were a couple different dishes offered.

cozy place

The pleace feld very alternative, with hand painted posters about free Tibet and so :-). The yard is great with tiny chairs and with spice growing in pots. I had curry with rice, it was a bit bland though.

restaurante con opciónes veganas

Un sitio lleno de paz, el personal muy amable, pero solo tienen un par de opciones veganas, aunque bastante ricas, te sirven te al llegar y todas las veces que quieras.

Pros: opciones veganas

Cons: pocas opciones veganas

Dosa

It's not everywhere you can get a dosa. The bread was thicker than the dosas I've had before, but not bad. Would've wanted some larger portions of the chutney/sambar to go with it.

Pros: Atmosphere

So Lovely!

The place made me feel going back to Tibet during the lovely dinner. The location was different then shown on the map here. The street has multiple Tibetan shops and dinner now was served at the most left one. Also had great tea time in the store.

Home made indian food

Eating at The Store Sajik-dong is like coming home to someone. The kitchen is open in the small restaurant and there are about eight small tables inside and two outside. They had three different types of curry on the menu, and three different kinds of bread.
I took all three of them because I was buying food for my family aswell. When I asked if I could have them take-away one of the girls said that they do not have any take-away boxes. Before I even had the chance of canceling my dishes, she said that if I wanted I could just take their plates home and then come back with them. Because I lived just around the corner I happily accepted.
All of them were delicious! The price were about 8000 Korean Won per dish and it was definitely worth it! Some of their food is not vegan, it has cheese in it, but they can make it without if you ask. All of them were fluent in english and the place is supporting an organization for womens handicrafts in Tibet.
The location is easy to find, but the name was not very clear from outside. Bring the Korean name with you and you wont have any problems. It is located right next to a shop with Tibetan clothing and handicraft. Enjoy!
