Popular for the sunset beachfront view. Mainly seafood restaurant with one good vegan main dish- mushroom steak and potatoes- and a shareable Brussels sprouts side. Nice to find something on the island that isn’t just a beyond burger and fries.
I came here because of the reviews on Happy Cow. Everything reviewers said they ordered no longer exists on the menu (at least for lunch.) There was a lettuce wrap on the menu where you could substitute the wild boar for mushrooms, but I was told, “it’s off the menu, we no longer carry it.” So, I’m stuck with a salad. Very disappointing.
Not perfect but more options than most other places. Spendy but on the beach - Edit
Lions Mane steak! Very good. Expensive - but like I said, not many options on this old school island. Our server was excellent and addressed our concerns. We started with the Brussel sprouts, (omitted the honey dressing) and also had the black bean hummus- I thought it was unique because it was served with various vegetables but the dip was somewhat bland. My son had the vegan burger which he really enjoyed, it was served on a delicious roll and had grilled mushrooms and onions to make it more interesting. They were out of the flourless chocolate cake that sounds like it might be vegan, so our server brought us a bowl of fresh berries for dessert.
The restaurant is right on the beach, with high prices to match. But it’s a good option for an area with few choices for vegans. There are a couple of vegan options specifically labeled on the menu, including a black bean hummus appetizer and a vegan burger, which is what I got. The patty was just a Beyond burger (nothing to get excited about), but it came on a tasty ciabatta roll with sautéed mushrooms and onion, avocado, etc, and roasted veggies on the side. All seating was outdoors under tents/umbrellas when I went due to COVID, but the indoor part of the restaurant and bar looks nice (for the after-times… here’s hoping!) As with most touristy places right on the beach, they also have a gift shop.
