Fantastic! - Edit
Went in for an evening meal and from start to finish the whole experience was great. The owner and his staff were all so welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing, with vegan and vegetarian options for every course. Even a couple of the traditional South African meals could be made vegan on request which is what I went for and was not disappointed.

I had a vegan burger with fries and salad garnish. My husband ate the homemade vegan enchiladas with fries. It was basic but nice, and very welcome after a long walk in the Peak District. We were with a large group but the place had no trouble getting all the food right and served at the same time. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.

Not sure this is the right place. I live near the Royal Oak Pub and Kitchen, Old Malton. It's not near the Peak District, it's in North Yorkshire between York and Scarborough. The food doesn't look the same either.
