Great To See Vegan Options - Edit
An independent pub in a busy market town which until recently had no vegan options. I want to support places that cater for vegans so went for Sunday lunch with my husband. You get a warm welcome, the staff are lovely and so friendly. Ordered the parsnip & carrot soup, sweet potato, spinach and butterbean stew off the festive menu. They also have vegan wines on the list although not labelled, Running Duck Shiraz, Lunetta Prosecco and a few Concho Y Toro wines (recently got vegan certification on some of their wines if you check). There was also Christmas pudding on the festive menu and when I visited a few weeks ago they had vegan devils chocolate cake on the specials board. The food was tasty and satisfying, good sized portions and great value. I will return to try their other dishes like vegan sausage and mash. Have to support places like this catering for vegans.
