I can't believe I didn't try this place for this long simply because the reviews weren't that great. As long as you aren't a snooty New Yorker, it's actually wonderful. It's a grab and go place and it makes sense for the space. Bring it home or take it to work and eat at your leisure sounds great to me.
Read moreI got an Early Grey bagel with lemon dill spread. Divine. It's too much spread for the size of the bagel but I'd rather have excess than too little. My husband got the berry berry spread with the same bagel. Berry berry was good with the same bagel but we both agreed that the lemon dill was the move. We also got a blueberry tart and the citrus tart. Both good but the blueberry was king.
They gave us a discount too which was super nice! If you're in the area or got dinner at Nammi or something and wanted a little something for later that wasn't pie or cake, then I'd definitely suggest going.
Pros: Taste, Service, Easy to go

Vegan Bagels, Cream Cheese and then some. - Edit
As we finished our meals and heading towards Cafe Turtle, the owner informed us of the newly opened bagel store.. So we marched ourselves to peruse, there were some bagels left and smelled good. I haven't tried the bagels yet, but have purchased one cream cheese. I'll update when I have tasted it. They also sell vegan stir-fry sauce and basil pesto. FYI: this is a take-out only store. There are no seats available.
Read more10-19-2023 Edit: Now that I think about it, I did have a sample of the bagels when I entered the store. There were bagel bits offered as samples. I remembered it being crunchy (probably toasted in the oven) and savory. I don't know which flavor it was. As for the cream cheese, it was smooth and easily spread onto a toast. The one I got was fruity kind and has a sweet taste to it. I need to try others to see if sweetener of a sort is added to the rests.
10-20-2024: The instagram page indicated new additional menu, so after dinner at Nammi, I swung by to check. Yup! they offer more than just (the non NY style) bagels now. The hours changed from 12-8pm. (Photos included)

Disappointing - Edit
Weird sweet cream cheese, bagels aren’t bagels but are more like croissants? Would be acceptable if the cream cheese was actual cream cheese and not full of sugar. Onion and chive cream cheese should not taste like syrup. Also double the price of an actual NYC bagel.

Bagel takeout - Edit
The bread is delicious and comes in such unique flavors. As a New Yorker, I’m not sure I’d fully give these bagels full bagel status but worth a visit if you are in the area.

room for improvement - Edit
my friend and i went there just to try, and i know they just opened the place, but i think there’s room for some improvements.
Read morewe got a jalapeño and a walnut bagel, with lemon dill and pistachio cream cheese, respectively. first there is no where to sit there, which it would be nice if they toasted the bagels fresh and gave you them with the cream cheese on it to enjoy there or even on the go. we told this to the staff there who was very receptive and kind. they said they are considering putting some seats.
we asked before to confirm if all the cream cheeses were sweet. even those you’d expect to be savory are sweet (according to the staff, only slightly). however, the lemon and dill tasted like frosting. it wasn’t bad, just not cream cheese for a bagel. would be good on cake for sure.
the pistachio one was really good, albeit sweet. just doesn’t really remind me of cream cheese. the jalapeño bagel lacked any flavor at all, but the walnut one was more flavorful. they both need salt. they will probably be better toasted, but i don’t think i’ll be going out of my way to go buy bagels there unless im in the area.
pretty sure this place is owned by nammi plant lab/turtle and i love them but i think they just need to get over some humps. wish them all the best and good luck
