Its okey - Edit
Place is okey, I find it a bit pricey for what you get. Food is okey. Service is not that good. I go there if I am nearby Aldea Zama as its the closest vegan restaurant.

Awesome Açai-Bowl - Edit
We went there for breakfast.
Read moreWe ordered the Açai-Bowl and the Croissant-Sandwich with a “Youthful Yellow”-Smoothie and a “Red Juice Mix”.
Everything was delicious and there is nothing negativ to say about the food.
The service was nice and they had sittings inside and outside.
Usually the accept credit cards, but when we went there, they could only accept cash.
Pros: Only vegan options, Good and friendly service

Great vegan brunch - Edit
Have had a chance to try a couple things on the breakfast / brunch menu, the savoury items really stand out. They’ve got a in-house “egg” made with simple, but delicious ingredients that’s used in the bagelwich, breakfast panini and omelette! I tried the French toast which was decent, but I wouldn’t get it again since it was very heavy on the bread but not so much the flavour. Overall would recommend!

So much potential - Edit
The menu here is strong, and we ordered quite a few of the dishes, Not all of them were amazing, some could use a bit of work but we love the concept.
Read moreIt's kinda noisy outside with the road works but plenty of space to sit inside. Also, it's a slow kitchen so bare that in mind when you visit!

What a great place! Food is so tasty! We ate here a few times during our stay in Tulum. Portion sizes are good and it has a large menu to chose from. Really enjoyed our meal here. Service let's them down though, otherwise would have been a 5 star.

On our first trip in November 2020 we visited around three times and everything was very good! This time we went again, weren‘t disappointed but the waffles were too spongy compared to last time. Staff was moren friendly this time!

Couldn’t do it - Edit
After having 2 meals at the Playa del Carmen location I really wanted to try some additional items on their menu. The restaurant is located n a brand new development that is still being constructed and I suppose will look quite different in a few years.
Read moreNevertheless, when I approached I had to walk in and ask if they were open (there were no other customers) and they seemed rather uninterested. As I was standing outside I heard a really loud, wet, clearly uncovered sneeze from one of the three guys inside. They had all been sitting or standing around the food prep area. Gross!
I had read this same review from someone else and thought, nah, couldn’t be that bad. Maybe they will eventually get their act together but my recommendation for now - walk a few doors down and go to Fit-A-Licious and hit the PDC location if you really want to check out The Pitted Date.

Not Serving Half the Menu! - Edit
Went here for breakfast and they were not serving French toast, waffles, pancakes, and more. Tried ordering the banana sushi and the server wouldn’t even let me have it because it was supposed to come with a waffle. Tried ordering dessert to go and they were not serving any dessert either! What I did end up getting, the mushroom omelette was good. But don’t come here unless you want a very limited selection.

Poor service - Edit
I like the pitted date in playa, also rude staff over there but the food makes up for that. Here on the other hand: i arrived in the am, hardly welcomed and the only present staff was coughing without covering his mouth while preparing food. I am not pro mask mandate but this is just unhygienic. I left. (A few meters to the left when facing pitted date is fitalicous, not vegan but amazing vegan omelette and french toast

Met our expectations - Edit
Extensive food and drink menu with everything you might expect and more! Overall the experience met our expectations but didn’t exceed them.
Read moreWe agreed we’ve had better Chilequiles — huevos rancheros we’re unique fake egg made of tofu, chickpea, and quinoa.
Prices were fair but I wouldn’t say this place is cheap.
Location was very convenient as we were saying close by, if your closer to downtown Tulum this place might be pretty far out of the way
Pros: Unique items such as fake egg and chorizo, Good selection of hot and cold beverages, Nice ambiance and outdoor seating area
Cons: We’ve had more inspired meals at the price point

We were staying run the all inclusive Grand Sirenis and while they have basic vegan food, salad and fruit, my wife and I wanted a good vegan breakfast. We found The Pitted Date and took a taxi from our hotel. The food was amazing with really good flavor. My wife had the spinach omelette and I had the mushroom omelette. We shared an smoothie bowl and the whole experience was outstanding. Wait staff was very nice and responsive. We also got the pancakes with tropical toppings which proved just too much food to finish. Yes we eat a lot. Highly recommend!

Awful Service, Don’t Bother - Edit
The food is not bad here but the service ruins it. The manager Fernando is aggressive, rude and nonchalant. The rest of the staff follow suit. I hate this place a try twice in case the first time he was just having a bad day. On my second time I was totally ignored by the server, while Fernando was inside the restaurant. There was a family there day at a table who saw my inability to get served and they also told me they still hadn’t been able to order as the server had been ignoring them since they had arrived. Don’t waste your time here, the food is good but not worth the [censored] attitudes of the staff. There are loads of other great options such as Tapatia Tacos which is a 1 min walk away. Also try Succulente and my all time favourite place ‘Vegan Tacos El Bajon’. Enjoy, and skip Fernando and the circus act they have going on until they realize that customer service matters.

The food was amazing. But they were out of a lot of things... I understand it’s the way of the beach life but no ice, no pastries, no croissants. Service was seriously sloowww. Regardless the panini and French toast was really good. Would like to go back when it’s a better overall experience.
