My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch here. I got the bagel sandwich and green juice, he got the chilaquiles and coffee. They give you a lot of food and it is reasonably priced. The seating area is outside and dog friendly. We had a great meal.

The service is TERRIBLE. The guy working there was not at all friendly. No greeting when walking in just received a blank stare, almost looked annoyed I walked in. I had to ask for a menu and they don’t come to your table you have to go up to order. Upon ordering the rude man notified me that they were only taking cash. After reading a previous review that said they have been saying the card machine has been broken for months I am starting to think they just don’t want to process cards. Upon hearing this I walked out without ordering and chose another restaurant for breakfast. Don’t waste your time here. There are plenty of other vegan options that want your business.

Came here on a sweltering day in May for lunch with a group of 4. (They have fans, but no AC! Just FYI.)
Read moreWe ordered the huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, pita wrap, an açaí bowl, and a smoothie. All of it was delicious (the cold drinks were especially welcome on a HOT day!), and I’d honestly recommend anyone getting it. I will say the huevos rancheros weren’t huge, which isn’t a bad thing—it was the perfect size for a filling but not overly stuffed lunch. But, if you’re REALLY hungry, I might recommend getting an additional side or something with it.
Definitely worth visiting!

Their Beyond Meat cheese burger is the best i ever had, it comes on a croissant and has two onion rings on the patty and lettuce tomato, ketchup, mayo. loved their bagel with whipped herb cream cheese. great location. fantastic deserts. i also got half portion of gluten free pancakes, they are exceptional.

This was my favorite vegan food in Playa. We had the vegan Cesar, pancakes, the savory crepes and pecan pie. The pie was out of this world. Everything was super yummy. Great place close to coco beach. They run out of pastries early so take note but they have desserts all day.

This place was okay, but it didn't seem like the food was made with love. Good portions will fill you up but it is definitely pricey. There are better places in Playa for your money, but if that doesn't matter to you, give this place a try.

We went to The Pitted Date twice while we were in Playa, and it is definitely worth the walk (being a bit further down Fifth Avenue). The first time we had lunch - I went for the vegan omelette ("the works") which was so delicious. Best vegan omelette I've ever had! My partner had an all day breakfast sandwich, served with fries. Super tasty. We also got one of their super juices which was great. We went back for brunch and I had the hot cakes with choco monkey toppings and my partner went for a savoury crepe. Again, the food was just phenomenal. We also tried two frappucinos - vanilla and caramel - and again, so tasty, my favourite drink in Playa. First time the English of the server was excellent, second time less so, but we managed okay! V good service in general. Really recommend it, and even if it is a little further, it's well worth it - for any meal!

Absolutely love this spot! I’ve been twice for breakfast. First time I asked for suggestions and the server said the Savoury Crepe was the most popular item. It was amazing. She suggested the brownie as well and it was so good that was one of my main reasons for returning.
Read moreOn the second visit I tried the Croissant Sandwich. It was huge! Tasty, but I thought the crepe was better. (The manager said the Cinnamon French Toast was his fave.) I also couldn’t resist a sweet. They didn’t have brownies, but there was a chocolate bar with nuts, dates coconut and chocolate drizzle that was almost as delicious. Definitely save room for dessert here!
Service was good both times.

Loved our brunch here. So many options for whatever you are craving. Vegan versions of the Mexican traditional foods served with great presentation as well as waffles and hot cakes. The Pitted Date also has another location in Tulum. Prices are a bit higher then other places in Mexico but the quality and presentation is higher than most places we went to in Playa.

Wow! I came to Playa del Carmen for a few days on a trip and wish I had found this place sooner. The food is DIVINE! Yum yum yum amazing!!! The croque monsier is to die for!

The food is good but it really depends on what you get. Sometimes service is a little slow. I like the pancakes and burger. My husband didn't like the waffles, I thought the waffles were okay enough.

Lost its Charme - Edit
We fell in love with the place nearly 4 years ago. We were quite disappointed when we returned as the place lost its Charme completely. The food is still amazing but the place needs some renovations and friendly and motivated staff as before. It was really vibing high 4 years ago and know it feels more like some shady things are going on on top of unmotivated waitresses. They told us all three times that we thought we give this place another chance that “only today” they had a problem with the card machine and that they working on fixing it but nothing ever changed and to be honest it felt quite shady.
