Amazing veggie options! - Edit
My favourite place in Hartlepool for veggie food! Their menu is inspired by Asian street food. My go-to is their 5 spice tofu bao, or their tofu loaded fries 🤤🍱

Lovely Asian fusion lunch - Edit
Would give 5 stars if the app allowed it! Really good vegan options and lovely atmosphere. I had the midweek special for £14.99 which included 2 bao buns (tofu or crispy jackfruit available but was sharing with my mum so she chose meat for hers), 4 crispy vegetable gyoza, and a choice of loaded fries. No milk alternatives for coffee unfortunately but I enjoyed my black coffee. Really enjoyed my meal and would definitely go back again. Staff were lovely too, really polite and helpful☺️ #Veganuary

Booze & Bao - Edit
Spotted a review on Happy Cow and thought we’d give it a go. I LOVE it here.
Read moreThere are three sitting areas so don’t be fooled as you first walk in.
The staff were super helpful in figuring out what was vegan or what could be made vegan as the menu is missing the symbols, but don’t let that stop you.
We had the crispy jackfruit bao, the tofu bao, the veggie gyozas and the jackfruit burger/sandwich and all of it was delicious. My husband said the jackfruit was the best he’s ever had. Would really recommend.
The cocktails were really good also, highly recommend the espresso martini! X

What a hoot! - Edit
Friendly/dog-friendly bar with a great selection of street food including vegetarian/vegan (or can be) options. There are craft beers on tap which means unfined options (not labelled but easy to Google). Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was spot on.

Something different - Edit
I would have given this 5 stars if it would let me. Town doesn’t have any fully vegan places as it’s too small for that. The food here is lovely and the chef is happy to alter recipes to make them vegan too. I got a platter from their summer menu, I think it was supposed to have cheese on it but the chef went as far as looking for an alternative in his kitchen rather than simply removing it. Food is super tasty and something a little different to what else is on offer in the town.

A Smart Choice - Edit
Very smart place indeed with a tap room serving many craft beers a lot of which are vegan. Food is Asian fusion style and looks good. We popped in for a pint before going to see Hartlepool United v vegan club Forest Green Rovers after a recommendation from a friend and were most impressed. If I do end up in Hartlepool again I’ll most certainly sample the food

Craft beer and food. - Edit
Great little bar with a few vegan options on the food menu. I had the jackfruit bao and a tofu bao. The tofu one needed a little more filling to pep up the taste but the jackfruit one was ace.
