Paradise of ALL VEGAN dim sum on Earth!! - Edit
There is absolutely nothing that I disliked about this place or food served.
Read moreWe tried so many sweet and savoury dim sum options and they were all so incredibly tasty. My favourite were the the shrimp dumplings, the green jade dumplings and the red bean curd rolls.
We were so surprised with the number of options to choose from and with the wide range of traditional Chinese dishes with mock meats! We did have to wait a little bit for our food but we did not mind at all (plus it just meant that our food was being freshly made on the spot!).
We ordered much food because we had no idea how generous the portions would be and we were just so keen to try all the menu options! We totally stuffed ourselves but it was so worth!
As a bonus, this was also super great value for the price.
The service was very efficient and the staff could not have been friendlier or sweeter with us! We ended up by having up a decent amount of leftovers and we asked one of the servers if he could box it up for us. He did it right away and he even gave us an extra box of steamed taro dumplings for free. What an unexpected kind gesture.
This was a truly amazing food experience that will be hard to forget!
P.S. People who are gluten free would have no problem in eating here. There are tons of gluten free options and most dumplings are free from it too!😉
Pros: Great food quality , Really affordable prices, Tons of vegan options

Favorite dim sum Chinese food spot - Edit
I love this spot. I’ve been here about 5 times so far and whenever a friend is visiting from out of town I suggest this place for Chinese food. Everyone I’ve brought here has been blown away by their mock bbq pork meats! Reminds me of my childhood because I grew up going to a dim sum spot every Sunday with my family since I was a toddler. I’m so glad this place exists because the food just incredible with or without the mock meats.

My kids and I were starving after a long day of walking and lunch at this place solved our problem! We had sweet and sour chicken, ginger pine nut rice, fried tofu, sesame balls and sticky rice balls with coconut. It was all tasty and served quickly.

I love Buddha bodai. You can’t go wrong with the lunch specials. Cheapest vegan meal you’ll find around New York City. Family styles dishes as well which are huuuuuge.

Best Vegan Dim Sum - Edit
It's so rare to find a completely vegetarian dim sum place, not to mention one that's almost completely vegan. I went for lunch and everything was delicious. Their faux meats are great and their veggie dishes are fresh and super tasty. Also super great value for the price.

A Go To Restaurant! - Edit
I returned here numerous times throughout my stay in NYC, and every time is fantastic. There's a huge menu, all of which is vegetarian, and everything that I've ever ordered is great. There are various fake meat options, which are all very tasty. If you want to go with something simpler, like a vegetable dish, those are also very good. The portions are huge and meant to be shared, while the prices are incredible. Definitely go!

A little disappointing - Edit
A little disappointing, to be honest. We read reviews talking about Dim Sum and went to try it, but arriving there for dinner said they only served Dim Sum until 4pm. So we asked for an entrance with various sorts of things together. Only what was good was the "BBQ meat". When we went to ask for the dishes, they said the kitchen was already closed. It was not a good experience.

Better Than A Buffet - Edit
It's wide variety of vegan appetizers will keep you well-stuffed. The way their dishes are organized help you eat slowly and thus filled up on less food. Service was prompt and friendly.

Huge variety of Chinese dishes - Edit
An extensive menu is the highlight here. There is a wide variety of soups, the prices of which would seem to indicate that they are not intended for individual diners. But, the kitchen will accommodate single servings. I had the Seaweed Bean Curd Soup, which was quite good but light on the seaweed. I did wait quite awhile to be served and was served the soup and enter at the same time. Nevertheless, this is a good Chinese veg restaurant and worth visiting. The Lunch Specials at $7.50 appear to be a very good deal.
Read morePros: Large variety of dishes, Mostly reasonable prices, especially at lunch, Large Dim Sum menu but only served until 4:00

Food, service and attention was beyond perfect. Family style table of 9 and only the bride & groom were vegan. Everybody LOVED the food, I don't even think they realized or cared that the delicious food had no real meat. It was perfect!

Best vegan Chinese food in Chinatown - Edit
Got here by accident after getting caught up in the rain crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. 90% of what we tried was so good!! All "chicken" products were delicious! Rice, wonton soup, and spring rolls were very good as well. However, I would avoid the steamed "meat" buns, though. Apart from that, great service and super cheap prices. Highly recommended, if you're looking for lunch in Lower Manhattan.

Delicious!!! - Edit
If you follow my reviews, I'm not a gratuitous reviewer. I absolutely loved this restaurant. Good prices and the food was delicious. Note that I'm also not a big fan of Chinese food. We had the vegan bbq (highly recommend!!), spicy laksa soup (amazing) and Buddha delight. I only wish I could go with a huge group to sample everything. Generous portions, left satisfied and with leftovers to boot. Definitely going again.
