Favourite Cafe

The Nook is hands down my favourite cafe in HRM. Service is always friendly. The owners I believe are vegan so they have a ton of vegan options including soup, sandwiches, main dishes, drinks and treats. They have the best chai lattes in town. I LOVE their vegan nachos and their stuffed mushrooms are amazing too.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly service , Good price

lots of vegan options

The Nook used to be the Jumping Bean, which I had tried once before. It looks very close to how it did before except for signs and such. There's quite a bit of seating and have some lovely artwork on the walls.

What I am most impressed with is how many vegan options they have now. I'd say over half the menu is vegan-friendly including wraps and other food fare, plant based milks for drinks and several sweets and baked goods as well.

I got the vegan ambition wrap which has tofu scramble, coconut bacon and veggies and it was delicious. For dessert I got a peanut butter cup and turtles brownie. The PB cup was good but the brownie was extremely dry.

They offer free wifi and cold water is available to help yourself to.

Overall I'm very impressed with the Nook.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

lots of Vegan options

We stopped in for coffee as it is near where we live and were surprised by the amount of vegan options on offer. The service was good and they now have a licence to serve beer and wine. A nice little venue which I’m sure will tick boxes for both vegans and none vegans
