Small portions, also not tofu? - Edit
I was glad to find some vegan options in the immediate area, but the portions were small. To be fair I made the burrito into a bowl, but I would need 2 to be full. The menu describes a tofu scramble but it seemed like a tiny bit of ‘Just Egg’ , which had I known I probably wouldn’t have ordered.
Read moreThe staff was nice and accommodating, nice little breakfast/ lunch spot…Just wanted to people know that you may want to confirm what is described on the menu is what you’ll actually get.
Pros: Decor, Friendly staff
Cons: Menu descriptions inaccurate

Best vegan breakfast in or around Mesa - Edit
We were in town for 4 mornings and ate here each day. Normally we would try multiple different places, but once we had the amazing breakfast experience at The Nile we decided this was our place. I tried the McBluffin, the Steak & Potato, and the Southwest Wrap, they were all delicious, on the final day I went back to the Steak & Potato.
Read moreThe staff were always super kind, the coffee was fantastic, and the environment was super chill. We got lucky while we were here and also got to experience the Saturday morning farmers market. I wish we had this place back home in Maine.
Thank you to The Nile and the wonderful staff for having the best vegan coffee shop we’ve been too in a long time!!
Pros: Wonderful staff, very kind

Not only is this the best damn theater in town to play a gig or watch a gig, but a killer vegan restaurant! Great coffee shop options, killer food, and always have great baked goods both in house and supporting other local vegan bakeries.

Mac n cheese! - Edit
Limited lunch menu but what I got was amazing. Got their seasonal sandwich which was a caprese with Artichokes and it was delicious, but Omg the Mac n cheese was the best vegan Mac I've had. Was concerned at first but you can get the hint of coconut that confirms it. Tons of drink options.

Love the overall aesthetic of this shop! Was perfect for a morning coffee date enjoying our meals while admiring the beautiful historic building! It is located in the cutest location with lots of little local shops to walk around and check out after!

All day breakfast - Edit
I came here for a late breakfast / early lunch. I got the mcbluffin with bacon and a side of fruit. I also got their seasonal caramel apple tea with oat milk. Everything was great! If I came again I would ask for the hashbrown on the side. It comes in the sandwich.

Not worth the trip - Edit
Came here shortly after opening, had to wait a long time to be attended only to be told that they did not have bread (which makes up a majority of their menu items), vegan bacon, pastries. On top of all that it seemed entirely overpriced. Do not recommend.

fav avo toast, revamped menu but worst staff exp @ a vegan restaurant - Edit
love their avo toast with cream cheese on it. i alsways get extra avo and cream chz for only $1.5 extra😄their desert bloom toast is yummy too, really good flavor. my hubby really likes their southwest burrito and his favorite is their copper state burrito. a friend of mine loved the southwest sammy. their pasta salad is ok, just dry. their sqwauker lunch sammy was good, my hubby really liked it! i personally think their fake meats taste realllyyyy weird, but i think most processed/packaged fake meats do unless its sausage
Read moreupdate 11/12: THEY HAVE A REVAMPED MENU. they have classic breakfast sandwiches that are SO GOOOOODDDDD. i like the mcbluffin!
i will mention the experiences i have had with their staff have been alright.. honestly they’re all very dull and just want your order and for you to get out of there. if i didnt live so close i would take my business elsewhere for that reason. i stopped by on a sunday at 140 before close and they closed their kitchen at 130 because “it takes longer to close down” i’ve been here manyyyy times and i’ve never had/seen this happen. lady didn’t apologize for the inconvenience or anything, she genuinely seemed bothered that we got there 20 min before close.. whatever! happily took my business to jarrod’s across the street for their huge vegan pastry case :~)
update: got there at 125pm to get food and they were “out of almost everything” so they couldn’t make a SINGLE dish. all while theres a group of 6 eating their meal outside AND someone got their food order when we were walking past again around 135 after stopping at main st harvest. yet they couldn’t make a single dish for us! worker didn’t apologize until we decided to go elsewhere. definitely bullshit, they just want to go home early. i wouldnt care if they updated their hours online and made it known that its now a regular occurrence to close kitchen at 130.. will not be returning
always stop by main st harvest a few businesses down too! they have local produce and a fridge full of vegan dishes from local businesses!

Not quite right - Edit
It’s $12 for a sandwich and a side which is fine for the quantity of food and it being a nicer place. I shared an autumn turkey and squawker with my partner. We got chili and pasta salad. You get a ton of pasta salad but it only has shredded carrots in it and it was super bland. The chili was pretty under seasoned too- it just tasted like tomato. The autumn turkey was good. It was on nice bread and the turkey itself was good but it wasn’t salty at all, just all sweet so it wasn’t what I was expecting. The ranch on the squawker was sweet and there was too much of it. The majority of the flavor was sweet from the ranch and then franks red hot for the hot sauce which is kind of disappointing. It was a cute place and there were tons of coffee and tea options. Over all I like the idea but I didn’t fully like anything that I got. It’s a cute place though.

Just ok - Edit
The past two years I’ve ordered the same sandwich when on special, The Presidential Pardon, and each time it is served differently. I’ve had it served to me hot, toasted, untoasted and completely cold. There’s also a 50/50 chance I’ll receive the gravy that comes with it. The last time I requested it hot I was told no and the bread was untoasted, dry and stale. There’s just no consistency and the owner is not very friendly.

LOVE THIS PLACE - Edit
I love just walking into this place. Great energy, involved in the community, and locally owned so our money isn't going into some faceless fast-food mega-conglomerate in some huge city a thousand miles away that profits from killing animals and ruining our health. It's HERE, making ushealthy and making OUR economy strong!
