good place for vegan wraps

This place has much better vegan food than sundowners. Has two vegan/ veggie burgers as options but the buns are not vegan so you have to have them as wraps. A few other options available too. Also: points for using paper straws in drinks!

Pros: good vegan options for a decent price

Cons: no vegan burger buns or vegan cheese available

Delicious & great if you're traveling with non-vegs

Super cute restaurant with a huge menu of food & juices. The staff is super nice and willing to make substitutions for any non-vegan items on the menu. I had the avocado bahn mi with some bomb aoli, and my bf had a sweet potato burger! My dad, who is not a veg, was also very happy with his meat burger!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, friendly staff, great atmos

Cons: Limited seating

Fast and Delicious

This little spot came as a convenient stop as we were heading out of the keys on a very busy travel day. The restaurant was busy when we entered, with a line of 7 people (you order at the counter). Despite this, the wait was less than 5 minutes to get to the register. The worker was extremely accommodating and cheerful as people put in their requests. We asked for a vegan wrap and they suggested their chickpea salad, their "vegan take on a tuna salad." We also ordered a veggie burger, and requested it be cooked on a non-meat surface. They happily obliged, and even put that right on the order ticket! Huge points there. The tater tots were crispy, the wrap huge, and the veggie burger has great texture. The ABC juice was perfectly balanced (apple, beet, carrot) and they offered unsweetened almond milk with the coffee. All of it was delicious, and our to-go order came out in 15 minutes! Very quick, considering the line. This place has meat on the menu, but is very considerate of veganism and vegetarianism. Most items are clearly marked on the menu, and the staff is more than helpful in communicating to make sure you get what you want. We'd definitely return!

Pros: helpful staff, quick service

Key Largo Oasis of Veg

A couple of weeks ago we made the trek down highway 1 to Key West and found this little gem in Key Largo which is about the half way mark from Fort Lauderdale. We sat outside on the patio with a spectacular view and enjoyed tasty veg food.

Be sure to ask for the veg menu which has plenty of options that can be veganized, and the staff is very knowledgeable with advice on how to do that.

I enjoyed the vegan mushroom kebab. My understanding is that they make all their condiments from scratch INCLUDING their ketchup. Definitely stop in here and you will understand what a positive different that makes.

Pros: Tasty veg options, Gorgeous view, Wonderful wait staff

Cons: if the key lime pie was vegan... OMG, NA, NA

mindful mermaid cafe

this place is so cute and very friendly!! I love the decor and the menu everything sounded so yummy!! I ordered the southwest style black bean and quinoa wrap and a COG juice. the juice was AMAZING all fresh and yummy. when my wrap arrived it was beautifully presented and looked so yummy, it's taste living up to its look. but after eating a quarter of the wrap my mouth was on fire!! I do enjoy spicy foods as long as I won't feel the need to drink the contents of a fire hydrant following consumption. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a warning that this was so spicy. other than that, a fantastic place. I will be back next trip

Pros: friendly , good menu , cute decor!!

Cons: very spicy wrap

Cute Place with Great Veggie Options!

I've eaten here twice so far, and it's so nice to have a place in Key Largo with vegan/vegetarian menu options. I ordered the quinoa pasta salad, which was delicious (though quite oily, for those who are avoiding oil). Today, I had the vegan kale salad with a creamy garlicky dressing, pine nuts, and dried cranberries. Truly outstanding! My daughter had the tabouleh/hummus salad, and the hummus was wonderful, and not oily. They have a nice selection of wraps and pita sandwiches. Everything is clearly marked as either vegan or vegetarian. My only complaint is that they close at 5:00, usually too early for my husband and I to grab dinner to go. Hope this place lasts, so show them your support and stop by for lunch.

Pros: Great Food, Cute surfer atmosphere, Fresh juices
