Clear menu, good options - Edit
I was happy with the vegan options at this place! Their menu is clearly marked. Loved the white bean ravioli.

Great vegan options! - Edit
I would give this review 5 stars but I know I can't because it's not exclusively vegan. There are several really good vegan options. I went with the Buffalo Seitan and I got the arugula and avocado salad and just had them hold the mozzarella. Both were excellent I had a difficult time choosing because there were so many really good quality vegan options. Next time I think I'll Venture and try the Beyond Burger. Even though it was very crowded we had excellent service and the server was extremely attentive.

Awful staff - Edit
The staff barely checked on us. Was rude and wouldn’t answer when we had questions. Wouldn’t dine here again. Food was just average

We Love this place for the food, and the atmosphere!! - Edit
The list of vegan items keeps getting longer and longer each summer we show up. We were told they are working on an entire vegan menu, separate from the non vegan items. One of the things we ordered was the loaded baked potato, it came with tempeh bacon, scallions and vegan cheddar cheese sauce. DELICIOUS !!! White bean ravioli, was also very good.

Deliscious - Edit
I had the impossible burger and fries. The fries were fresh cut and they made their own cheddar sauce for burger. Delicious lunch.

Good vegan options - Edit
Travelled with my vegan friend and two veg- curious- we ordered the buffalo seitan, vegan nachos, vegan Wellington and White bean raviolis. We enjoyed everything!! Even the veg curious tried everything ordered and they were impressed. The serving sizes were VERY generous we left full and with leftovers.

Disappointed - Edit
2.5 stars. Such a let down after seeing such a high star rating. The buffalo seitan wings were spicy and flavorful but oddly textured and shaped. They were squishy instead of chewy, and they were cut into rigid rectangles. A little strange! 😆
Read moreThe white bean ravioli was creamy and delicious (and the reason I upped my rating from 2 to 2.5) but save your $4 on the "added tofu". My ravioli was topped with about 1/4 block of tofu, cut into squares, and pan fried with no seasoning. It was the saddest tofu I've ever experienced. They also sprinkled some cold , shredded vegan mozzarella on top that made the dish even more unappealing.
Unfortunately, I was the only vegan in the group and had to uncomfortably defend "vegan food" from the examples that were before us. I'm hoping Mad Batter puts a little more love into their vegan dishes soon!
Pros: Vegan Options
Cons: Overpriced for quality received

Great restaurant with a vegan section - Edit
I came across this Bed and Breakfast in Cape May and was delighted to find their restaurant menu had its own vegan section and not your run of the mill Gardein or Beyond products! I ate breakfast there and it was delicious. I'm excited to try their dinner options and love that this restaurant is available for our Jersey shore trips.

awesome dinner - Edit
They have a number of vegan options. We had the nachos for a starter. They were very good and they had their own cheese sauce, not the store bought vegan cheeses (which we don’t care for much). My wife had the bean ravioli and I had the linguini. It was all very good. The sauce was good and liked the spinach on it. It may’ve been good with some mushrooms too. We shared the vegan cake for desert and that was really good as well. The waitress said they have even more vegan options during the summer season.

AWESOME - Edit
The food is amazing and they are very good and understanding if you are vegan. The owner's son is vegan so they have a lot to choose from, including vegan cake that is out of this world!!! I would give it 5 stars if I could

Not a huge number of items but good variety and our waitress was very vegan friendly and aware. For instance without prompting offered only the vegan salad dressings. Food was tasty and decadent.

Mad Batter is Batting a Thousand! - Edit
We go to Wildwood Crest for a week each year and this is my favorite restaurant to visit while we're down there. They have vegan breakfast options and the white bean ravioli with red sauce and spinach for dinner is amazing. They added more vegan options to their dinner menu too: three appetizers and a couple more entrees. It's a really cool atmosphere and they sometimes have a guitar player and singer in the bar area. I highly recommend Mad Batter. We even go in the off season. Plus, Cape May has such a good vibe and honestly it's fun to walk around there.

Ripped off - Edit
I really liked this place and the food was very good but they over charge so much for anything vegan. I got a salad and was charged $4.75 extra to substitute the cow cheese with a sprinkle of Daiya cheese. The person with me also ordered a salad but with non-vegan feta and was not charged extra. I feel ripped off.

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the vegan options at this restaurant. My vegan friend and I shared the white bean ravioli and the tostadas, and both were incredible! There were also a few dishes that could be easily made vegan with a few swaps (vegan cheese was available). We were with two omnivores who ordered meat, and they thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. A winner for everyone!

yummy vegan options - Edit
We've had both lunch and dinner here and we're not disappointed. The black bean wrap was really good for lunch. For dinner we tried the vegan tostadas for an appetizer and the the spicy sesame stirfry with tofu and white bean ravioli. All of the food was well prepared and yummy.

Dinner winner - Edit
I've been here with a mixed crowd (vegans and nonvegans) and the even the not-yet-vegans enjoyed the vegan options. Good food every time I've had dinner there (pizza, sandwich, stir-fry, etc.). If you like to dress a hint nicer than the average roll-off-the-beach outfit, this is a good place to go after you've showered. Haven't tried breakfast yet...
