Yum

They had a few options. The curry and side soup I got were so good. The curry wasn’t even spicy which was especially good for me bc I can’t handle spice at all(I’m a baby) 🤣 Garlic bread was a bit too oily though for my liking but still really good otherwise— perfectly toasted and fluffy

Pros: Butternut squash soup

Cons: Garlic bread was a bit too oily

Poor vegan choices

The food is expensive and lacklustre. The vegan burger was bland, and the nachos and salads offered as 'vegan' we're just the regular ones but with dairy removed. I resent paying the same price for a meal that has less flavour, and reduced content.

A range of options

Cosy and convenient, easy to get to and open long hours

Cons: £8.50 for a Mediterranean Salad (small quantity)

Not just a burger!

Very impressed with the vegan options and clear marking options on the menu (separate vegan menu sheet available too). Had buffalo cauliflower wings with salad, spicy giant couscous and a sweet chilli slaw. Was a relief to be in a pub and have more than a vegan burger. Great to see vegan options clearly highlighted on the kids menu too.

Pros: Different vegan options

Cons: Rotisserie chickens on display

Worth a visit for vegan junk food ;-)

I’m sure there were some fairly healthy options on the menu, but our eyes went straight for the junk food, and it was gooood! And such a pleasant surprise to find an ‘average pub’ like this with such a choice of vegan options! Service was great, too! Defo recommend. That said, the cabinet of spinning chicken carcasses on the way in was pretty disturbing & off-putting...hopefully with enough support of the vegan menu that will soon be a thing of the past.

Very limited options but some very good ones

Visit here regularly. It's a clean decent place with nice surroundings. And the beer is also excellent. Veggie and vegan options are limited but they do make an effort and have a small vegan/vegetarian menu that you may have to ask for as its not always at the table. If you like or used to like burgers I highly recommend the Jack Burger. Comes with a pull pork style barbecue Jack fruit with beans and is delicious, definitely not a compromise on having an animal flesh burger, its actually way better than most I used to eat. It comes with vegan slaw and fries and it's a excellent meal IMO

Pros: Great vegan burger and beer

Cons: Limited vegan vegetarian menu

Glad they’re making an effort, but needs a bit more work

The vegan options for dining are very limited around here, so it was nice to see somewhere making a bit of an effort.
The food was alright, we shared a salad, onion rings and a saag aloo. The saag aloo seemed out of place on the menu, but was definitely the best part of our meal. For dessert we had the chocolate praline tart and the apple pie. The ice cream that came with them was coconut. Overall they were both ok, but the pie would have been much nicer with custard, (on the menu but not vegan).

Pleasant surprise 😎

This is my first visit to Wales, and this is the first place I sat down to eat in Wales😄I had to kill some time while waiting to check-in at my hotel (which is next door).

So I took a gamble and checked out this Pub/Restaurant. I am vegan, so it is always interesting going in blind in a new and unknown restaurant.

I did not know what to expect when entering, so I only aimed to get some fries and a coffee. But when I opened the menu I saw that they had a good amount of vegan options. And what is better....all the vegan options had a green label on them. They have one marking for vegetarian and one for vegan options. The vegetarian options was marked like this (V), The Vegan options had a green label that said vegan that (V). Very easy to navigate the menu.

I had a vegan burger with sweet potato fries, a black coffee and the vegan apple pie!
It tasted really good and fresh. I will probably try to come back here another day during my week long stay, so I can try out some of the other vegan options 😎

Pros: Tasty food, good prices, Nice and kozy pub/restaurant, All vegan options are marked out
