Vegan fish-n-chips

Vegan fish available! It’s a banana blossom wrapped in nori, battered and deep-fried, just like fish. They say it’s quite popular. I liked it. The chips were pretty good - soft, not crispy. Vegan nuggets also available (not sure what they're made with) and some vegetarian items.
Table seating for about 20, plus stools at a bar counter. Saturday lunchtime there was a steady stream of customers, but there was space to dine in.

Perfectly battered banana blossom

Crispy, light, perfectly battered with seaweed banana blossom fillet, chip shop chips and mushy peas for under £10! It’s on the menu as ‘vegan fillet’. Cooked to order in a separate vegan fryer. Delicious!

Pros: Perfectly battered , Good price , Cooked in separate vegan fryer

Cons: Not 100% vegan restaurant

Friendly fast service and yummy chips

In this area the nice vegan eateries aren't always open in the evening.
We discovered this economical option on such a night.
The service is friendly and very fast, even if you eat in and have table service. Food is tasty with large portions. The house made shepherd's pie was our favourite, which is £6.99 for a large plate with plenty of chips and basic salad (instead of chips you can have jacket potato, hash browns or rice).

Pros: Chunky tasty chips, On bus route 12, Friendly

Cons: Coleslaw isn't vegan
