College town goodness - Edit
Across the street from St. Benedict’s College, I met up with an old high school friend for brunch, and my boyfriend Daniel was not disappointed, enjoying vegan lentil soup and a vegan and gluten free blueberry muffin.

Fresh, locally sourced, welcoming + always busy - Edit
We’ve attempted to try The Local Blend three times and each time the line was out the door with no available seating. I finally went during a big snow storm and I guess the fourth time is the charm!
Read moreI had an oat milk latte and the Super Avocado Toast and subbed their pulled oat vegan taco “meat” for the egg. It looked and tasted vibrant and the quality ingredients made this next-level avo toast.
Latte was solid too.
They use locally baked bagels and breads which, according to the barista are all vegan except the buckwheat bread, honey wheat, and croissants.
All three soups of the day were vegan, too.
There’s a sizable bakery case with several vegan options.
The menu didn’t have vegan items marked so the menu requires a read-through. There’s a curry chickpea sandwich (you’d have to sub the honey wheat bread); hummus and roasted veggies, a black bean wrap (without cheese), and some creative salads, including a vegan ranch dressing.
Basically there’s a nice variety of quality, flavorful vegan ingredients— but it requires some custom ordering.
I like custom orders so this wasn’t an issue for me but it might cause a time delay.
Busyness DIY menu creating means this place is best enjoyed when you have a spacious schedule.
Pros: Homemade (not processed) vegan “meat”, Super fresh, locally sourced ingredients , Welcoming community-centered vibe
Cons: Vegan items aren’t clearly marked, Busy. Always. , Gotta ask questions to determine vegan options.

Terrific variety, busy and friendly - Edit
Read the menu carefully as the vegan and “vegan possible “ items are sprinkled around the menu and not clearly marked. I had soup and salad (both great) and my son had their new “ barbecue pulled oats” sandwich (who knew that was a thing?) that was really good. Regarding the barbecue sandwich, you have to ask them to put it on bread as the default bun it comes on is made with butter. They had 4 or so varieties of vegan muffins in the case, but we didn’t try them. Very friendly and busy.

Old school coffee shop w/vegan options - Edit
This is a cool, old school (non-hipster) coffee shop with labeled vegan food options and baked goods.
Read moreTheir vegan mac and cheese was bland, but I'm glad they have it.
Don't hesitate to stop by this dying breed of simple coffee shop.
