Small cafe with a few vegan options. But the vegan options are lacking flavour. The "as you like it" has marinated tofu which sounds nice but it is just marinated in soy sauce.
Read moreThe cafe itself is quite dusty and smelly. Needs a good deep clean for sure.
The coffee is terrible and burnt.
I wouldn't go back to be honest.

I just had the Mediterranean crepes, with sautéed veg and vegan tofu & dill. It was so good!! And portion of 2 good sized crepes will keep me filled all day. Cool little vibe with loads of vegan options! I will be back regular, a new vegan cafe found! Happy days!!

Had the shakshuka and it was honestly amazing. Agree that there is quite a wait as other reviews say, but to be fair the place was full and I didn't find it excessive. If you're not in a hurry it's totally worth it. I didn't like the coffee at all (watered down almond latte) but to make it up they have a nice selection of vegan milkshakes and fresh juices.

Large selection of vegan options. Food took an hour to come out! We were only in Cairns for a day and wished we had known before we ordered about the wait time. The food was average. Most of it I could have made at home. I would try again but would allocate more time to eating there.

Great atmosphere, alternative music, lots of vegetarian/vegan options, big servings. The vegan Greek salad with tempeh side was delicious! Other vegan options include lasagne, tacos, dips/antipasto share plate plus lots more.

Had the Babushka and the Mediterranean crepes. Both delicious and a good size. Also had the caramel slice which was a nice flavour.

Best way to spend my birthday eating delicious vegan food. Huge portions and the best vegan iced coffee!!! turkish breakfast and big vegan breaky all tasty and yummy sweet treats. Right next to beautiful boutique clothing shop!

This place has been serving up the goods for years. Always a mountain of food and so many delicious options. This time I went for the Mediterranean crepes for lunch - oh yes, so good!! The breakfast burrito is to die for and the burger offerings are delicious. Many great dishes and drink items to choose from.

A sweet little restaurant/café in the center of Cairns. There are a lot of vegan options but they also offer meat. Therefore it is a great place to visit even when not all of your friends are vegan.

Anyway, the "Temptress" was delicious and a huge plate. Really great!
Plus, the waitress was funny, nice and had a positive attitude.
All in all I'd say The Lillipad Cafe is the place to go in Cairns with their variety of dishes.

Wonderful food, fantastic generous portions! This tiny place also has really friendly kind staff which made us feel really welcome. The vegan lasagne was perfect - best ever tasted. Highly recommended. Cheesecake (vegan) beautifully presented and really tasty.

Absolutely blown away by lily pad! The portions were huge and staff were so helpful in adapting vegetarian dishes to vegan dishes. The Tempe shakshuka with avocado instead of egg was a standout and I would highly recommend this! We also had lasagne and the babuskha which were of a similarly high standard. Overall a great place with plenty of options and filling portion sizes.

We were excited to try out LiliPad for dinner on my birthday and were not disappointed. As usual the servings were huge. Two of us had the tempeh burger and one had lasagna with vegan cheese. We were so full we had to get takeaway dessert, which was a white chocolate cheesecake slice and my favourite, the lemon cheesecake.

Service was good and catering to our request for all vegan with care by writing it down and asking if we would like to swap a honey dressing for another one of our choice.

The burrito was also tasty with a nice spicy and fresh salsa on top, and made with refried beans inside, would have gotten higher score in my ratings if it came with some salad.
The house salad would have been great except that it tasted like the eggplant and zucchini were fried in some slighlty rancid oil which unfortunately made it unpalatable. Next time I will just order the Garden Salad which does not appear to contain any potentially off-putting or fried ingredients.

This cute little cafe had a great atmosphere and their staff were happy and helpful. There are a variety of vegetarian dishes which can easily be made vegan. The meals are huge so you get good value for money. Would highly recommend!
