I have never been to a cafe where so many dishes can be veganised. Even better that the vegan option isn’t just to take away items but pay the same price (a pet hate). I had the breakfast burrito with tofu and it was phenomenal. Can’t wait to go back and try even more items.

As others have mentioned, portions here are sizeable, often challenging to finish in one sitting. The prices are low for the amount of food that you get, compared to other cafes. The menu is eclectic with loads of vegan options which are always just as good or better than the original option because they commit to replacing every ingredient. I've never heard from them "oh sorry we ran out of vegan fetta" or some such excuses. Today I ordered an iced chocolate and you can bet your [censored] it came with whipped cream, ice cream and a dusting of cocoa!

Read moreSitting down to eat an actual meal there is pretty average though. We had to wait at least 30 minutes for two breakfasts to come out. Super basic food which was honestly quite bland and disappointing especially after such a wait for it to come out.
Portions were massive, I could only eat half of my breakfast and my mum ate even less of hers.
Whilst I usually appreciate a bigger serving size, when the food is disappointing it just goes to waste because we didn’t want to box up all of the leftovers to take home 🤷♀️

Plenty to choose from on the menu. Big portions and friendly staff. The food I have tried was all delicious. Can get busy in the mornings. Great place for breakfast.

I really enjoyed the breakfast my girlfriend and I had here. We were eating like royalty with another order on every few minutes. The huvenos ranchos and shashuka were both great (see menu). Nice oat flat whites too

This cafe has many menu items that can be converted into vegan options. My partner and I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito (50/50 tofu and tempeh) and a vegan ‘as you like it’ as well as two iced coffees which came with vegan ice cream and coconut whipped cream. Everything tasted beautiful and was extremely filling! The only downside was that they were busy and it took about 40 minutes to receive our food but they did give us the heads up that it would be about a 30 minute wait.

Had many vegan options or things that could be veganized. The staff was super friendly and the seating area comfortable, although directly in front of gilligans. My vegan lasagna was huge and filled with veggies.

We had the vegan lasagna and tempeh burger. They were amazing! The lasagna came with a side of greek salad. I’ve to Greece, and some salads there were not as good.

There were quite a few vegan options and staff were knowledgeable about which items could be veganised. Be warned the servings are massive! I had the vegan-option pancakes with icecream and they were delicious. There's also a cabinet inside with a few vegan cakes/slices. Would go again.

I ordered the vegan shaushuka! Delicious with lovely avocado and potatoes on the side. Garnished with coriander and peppered with fresh spinach. Really tasty and filling.
Read moreWhat is great is that the menu is very clear about what they will replace the non vegan items with. This is rare in Cairns where many more upmarket places remove the meat and replace it with nothing and still charge you the same price. Lillipads gets it right on so many levels.
My flat white needed an extra bit of heat. However the almond milk was a lovely fit.
Pros: A vegan gets choice. , Great menu and all day breaky, Friendly staff

Not the cheapest breakfast in Cairns but definitely value for money, we may never eat again! Huge breakfast of mushrooms, two hash browns, whole avo, two cooked tomatoes, two slices of toast and two pieces of marinaded tofu. Everything was so fresh and tasty and accompanied by good coffee. Staff were pleasant, the cafe itself is a nice little spot, we would definitely go back. We forgot to take photos before we ate so here’s my husbands empty plate 😆

Read moreGoing back on the food! I found there plenty of vegan options! We went for the Brekkie Burrito with tofu and the Babushka! The first one was a Boooomb ahhaha! Loved the potatoes inside as well as the tofu! But I definitely preferred the second one. More complexity.
Overall we had a good experience so we would be happy to go back!

Read moreThe staff are lovely but unfortunately they got our order wrong despite me asking from the beginning for vegan they still brought out our meals with dairy cream and dairy butter AND two eggs on the side, staff fixed this quickly and were friendly note - the vegan cream is distinctly coconut flavoured
Only downside really was the food was not very tasty
Good coffee and cakes were nice especially served with ice cream

Birds and poo on outside tables and they didn’t get clean before our food was brought out. Wasn’t our favourite food, didn’t finish anything. Slices were nice though. Wouldn’t go back.
