Serves meat, vegan options available. Family friendly cafe with some labelled vegan dishes. Could include a houmous & pepper ciabatta & a chickpea, spinach & sweet potato curry. Sometimes has a vegan soup of the day. Also has vegan cakes and a range of plant milks for coffee. Can make a vegan kids' meal on request such as a toastie or sandwich. Had kids' play area and is also dog-friendly. Open Mon-Fri 08:00-15:00, Sat-Sun 09:00-15:00.

It’s ok - Edit
I was hoping for more from Lavender House Café.
Read moreThe actual café is really nice – small and cosy with pretty décor. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t so good. I was a bit disappointed with the vegan options – they only had one vegan ciabatta, 2 vegan sweet treats and a couple of vegan specials. They had a large selection generally, so it was a bit disappointing that they were the only options for vegans.
We went for the vegan ciabatta – humus & pepper, and the 2 vegan sweet treats – Vegan Biscoff Brownie and Vegan Nutella Cookie. The ciabatta was ok but would’ve been better with more filling, it just lacked a bit of flavour. The Brownie and Cookie were also ok. They didn’t taste of Biscoff or Nutella, and although they did have a decent texture, again they both just lacked in flavour.
I feel like this café would probably be a great place to come for a non-vegan, but it was just lacking for us.
Pros: Cosy and pretty cafe
Cons: Limited vegan options, Lacking flavour

Lovely Spot - Edit
Cosy little place with a really nice vibe. Has quite a large outdoor area with a kid's play area. Inside seating is more limited but has a living room type feel. They have coffee with plant milk, a vegan brownie, a vegan hummus and pepper ciabatta and a vegan special as well, usually a curry. On our visit it was quite a buzzing place, especially as it was a warm day. The staff were efficient and prompt. We will definitely be back. Kid and dog-friendly.
