Idyllic Vegan Sanctuary Getaway

Absolutley amazing, my only regret is not visiting sooner!

Ran by Morag and her partner, Tribe Animal Sanctuary is a small farm sanctuary in a semi-rural area near Carluke. Upon arrival, Morag greeted us and gave us a personal tour of the sanctuary, introducing us to each of the animals, telling us a little about each of them and their stories while carrying out the daily feeds.

We visited on a rainy week in mid/late September, but even the bad weather couldn't dampen the experience at all. The accomodation is a small hut, with some (very friendly!) pigs as housemates. Despite the size, the hut is gorgeous, very cosy and fully equipped with everything needed for a stay, including complementary coffe, tea, cereal and oat/soy milk. Nestled amongst forest areas, there is plently opportunity for nature walks and wildlife spotting in the areas surrounding the sanctuary.

The work carried out here is beyond amazing, all of the animals seem very happy and content with their newfound lives/freedom, which is fantastic to see. The price is extremely affordable (if anything, too cheap), especially considering the personal touch, the quiet, peaceful location and the overall experience. I would definitley recommend a visit to everyone and anyone who can.

Pros: Completley Vegan Farm Sanctuary, Lovely Hosts - Very Personal, Quiet and Peaceful

BEST PLACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD💚🌱

Adorable hut in a sanctuary, that saves animals from the cruelty of animal agriculture. Happy animals, able to life out their lives without exploitation, abuse, rape or murder. Their animals include sheep, chickens, cows, pigs, donkeys, goats, turkey and more🐑🐏🦃🐐🐓🐷🐂❤❤ The hut is so cosy and is equipped cutlery, kettle, microwave, toaster, plant milk, tea, coffee, breakfast cereal and biscuits. One of the owners (Morag) happily gave us a tour, whilst feeding the animals and answered so many of our questions. This was so amazing and really appreciated since they are so busy looking after so many animals!!💚 I could not recommend this place enough. Please support this sanctuary!💚x

Idyllic

Such a wonderful little place. Beautiful sunset, everything you need to have plenty to eat and a good night's sleep. I will be using happy cow to find places to stay in future.

Pros: Fully vegan. , Lots of clever and beautiful animals. , Private, secluded and gorgeous views.

Cons: The nearest supermarket is 6 mins away., My motorbike couldn't carry enough fruit and veg, Some of the goats are fussy eaters.

A wonderful vegan sanctuary to stay at!

We came here for a one night stay to start off our holiday and it was wonderful! Even though we arrived a little late due to unexpected traffic, they couldn’t have been more welcoming and took us on a fantastic sanctuary tour to meet the residents. It’s a brilliant project and I’m very happy we were able to support them with our visit. The hut was very comfortable and we were able to enjoy some food and the fire pit while we were there. The breakfast hamper was very good value too and we left with full stomachs! Would definitely recommend.
