Lovely outdoor area to eat

I had lunch here yesterday sitting outside in the sunshine. The pub gets very busy at lunch time and service is slow because of this, however the staff are excellent! I had the vegan carmelised tofu salad which was really tasty. I personally would have liked a bigger portion of tofu!
It's a great place to eat with friends catering for varied meal options.
The vegan options are clearly marked on the menu although there aren't many unfortunately. There's a veggie burger that they can make vegan (no brioche bun or mayo) and a vegan shepherd pie.

Pros: Nice pub with outdoor beer garden

Cons: Not many vegan options

Surprising amount of well thought out vegan options

Very nice pub with a few vegan and veggies options, very tasty and friendly staff 😌

Pros: Lots of tasty, fresh vegan options , Outdoor seating , All the dogs

Cons: Busy

Saved the day!

We were staying at the South Lodge hotel and Spa, which caters quite poorly for vegans - at least in the main restaurant. This place saved the day after 2 nights of ‘making do’. Both food and service put SL to shame!!!

Pros: Great vg options (not just token gesture!), Excellent service, Excellent value

Cozy pub

Pretty classic pub, had the vegan shepherds pie which was surprisingly very good! Only wish it had come with chips instead of peas. Service was a little slow but waiters were lovely 😊 Would be lovely to sit outside when the weather’s nice.
