Vegan options not always there - Edit
Lovely service and beautiful setting. The food was good but there were no special vegan dishes that day so it was the some options as any other Greek restaurant.

Excellent evening with vegan options - Edit
Lovely walk to Mavrikiano takes you to this excellent place. The host and hostess were very welcoming and helpful with veggie and vegan possibilities. We had an array of wondrous plates of salads, cooked veg, vine leaves, bread etc. (best olives we've ever had) and were almost too full to walk back down the hill! The location and views are well worth the walk (you can drive there obviously!) I must add, covid safe too. In summary, an atmospheric delight that we are glad we discovered.

A friendly restaurant where I was made to feel very welcome as a vegan. There was less choice as it was the end of October but I still had a lovely 3 course meal.

The waiter was very accommodating and pointed me to a traditional Cretan dish that was vegan. It was delicious. Had grape leaves to start.

Amazing local food, by lovely and caring staff! - Edit
A lovely little gem with the best view in Elounda, specialising in Cretan cuisine. Staff was so friendly and helpful from start til finish. Not fully vegan, but had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, which was also marked out on the menu. The second time we went, one of their daily specials, happened to be vegan.
Read moreThe ingredients had been carefully picked locally and cooked to perfection. You could really tell that the people that worked there are so passionate about what they do. We went there twice in one week, and by far the best food we had in Crete!
