Nice but less options lately - Edit
I have been going here for years they used to have so many more vegan options I was sad to see the vegan feta cheese dishes go. But they chicken nuggets and vegan burger is still good and you can get burger and chips for $10 on Tuesdays. I am not a fan of the new bean tacos.

5 stars - Edit
I would like to give the hive 5 five stars but that’s an option happy cow reserves only for fully vegan and vegetarian restaurants… the vegan food here is amazingly tasty. Peagan burger is my fav vegan burger in Sydney. ALL the sides are also seriously good, every one of them. One of the owners is vegan so it’s important to them to have a lot of vegan options. 21/25 options on the menu are all vegan.

Great options and relaxed vibe - Edit
Small bar with great menu of simple and cheap American style foods. The pea burger is my absolute favourite burger in Sydney from memory it’s around $7. I believe they also have a couple of mock meat options as well as a selection of deep fried foods like onion rings, cheesy fries etc. They have an actual DJ mixing records with a good RnB, Jazz, reggae vibe.

Best vegan burger there is! - Edit
The peagan (edamame pea) burger is one of the best, vege burgers I’ve had. Genuinely delicious crispy pattie and GREAT value. Lots of other options too.

Burgerlicious - Edit
The Hive Bar is a great spot with a variety of vegan options. The vegan cheeseburgers are by far the best - the edamame patties taste delicious. You can also get the burger as a double or triple cheeseburger. The menu also has a vegan hotdog, pizza, salads and share plates. They have lots of craft beer and the staff are very friendly.

This is great. Love the place. - Edit
I ate here three nights in a row which says a lot given the choice available in the area.
Read moreThere are vegan and vegan options across the menu and they have a great range of craft beer too - four draft (which vary) and around 25 different bottled.
Of the three meals I had I rate them in this order:
#1 Vegan edamame double cheeseburger (they use Bio vegan cheese slices) with handcut chips. The person who served me said this was their favourite too).
#2 Vegan veg pizza - thin crust and very tasty.
#3 Vegan hot dog and chips - the sausage and roll were a bit stodgy but worth a try.
The bar itself is very lively with a good selection of music and they also host talks, music and comedy upstairs.
The staff are pretty switched on to what being vegan is all about.
Pros: Tasty vegan pub food, Great atmosphere, Excellent choice of beers
