has some good vegan options - Edit
They have some vegan options.
Read moreThe staple vegan options are:
Avocado Tofu salad: its pretty filling, has hummus, tofu is good.
Vegan Curry
Vegan Schnitzel: gotta be careful here. While the schnitzel is vegan they ad a sauce hollondaise with it which isnt. Remove the sauce and the schnitzel should be vegan.

Great place to spend a late afternoon/evening in summer - Edit
Escape the bustle of the nearby streets and find the Highlander tucked away in the heart of Sobieskyplatz, the Grätzl's most peaceful little haven. The large trees offer generous amounts of shade against the summer heat, and the small fountain's murmurs add to the tranquil atmosphere. Lots of people stop by in this little square, you'll see couples, people walking their dogs, parents with small children, study groups, lone readers - passing through or sitting down beneath the large trees to take a quick breather.
Read moreWhile the vegan options offered are very limited, I have always managed to get something delicious. The Highlander is known also for their proprietary beers, amber ale is my personal favorite. Reservations are a must, as the place is usually fully booked up! Walk-ins are rather hard to make.
Pros: Schanigarten (outside seating), Proprietary beer
Cons: Very few vegan choices
