Pretty sure it's all vegan

Really great experience here! Great healthy vegan food. Two steps to enter this old style diner. One single stall gender neutral restroom.

Amazing vegan and GF options!!

Excellent service with lots of unique and healthy options on the menu. Majority of the items are vegan, and most can be made GF upon request. I loved the vegan GF chikn sandwich!

Hidden Spot

I decided to come here because it appeared on my TikTok. It is a cute little place that is very clean. Unfortunately the food wasn't the best. I would not recommend the mac and cheese. It super dry, but there was a lot of sauce. The sauce for the mac and cheese also wasn't good. It was very plain. The loaded cheese fries were all right. I wish they put avocado in top or hot sauce. It felt like there was just so much cheese/ cheese sauce that it overpowered the fries and the fries were very soggy on my first bite. I feel horrible writing this review, I just want others to know that these food items on the menu don't taste good.

Pros: Very clean place , Very beautiful restaurant

Cons: Doesn't taste good

Excellent vegan-focused food

Very tasty. My kids love the french fries and VALT. The vegan bacon is fantastic! So many vegan options.

Adorable place and Delicious food!

There are so many vegan options it was tough to choose.
For my first visit, I went with a chickpea flat as this is unique to the restaurant. It was absolutely delicious with fresh and healthy ingredients. Also had a strawberry mint lemonade and it was refreshing and not overly sweet.

A Cozy Delight

Nestled in Madison, The Hidden Chickpea proved to be a charming escape on a rainy day. The cozy, modern, green-inspired ambiance, accompanied by fun music, set the perfect tone.

Burger - MAD Burger ($14) had an explosion of flavors and textures! The clever use of two smashed Beyond Burger patties brought a unique twist to vegan burgers that I hadn't experienced before. The grilled marks on the bun added a delightful touch. The generous portion of tasty onion relish complemented the patties perfectly, and the melty vegan provolone was a delightful surprise. Kudos to The Hidden Chickpea for their creativity in crafting such an exceptional burger.

Fries - The hand-cut fries are a delicious accompaniment, delivering a satisfying crunch and a piping hot serving, though slightly over-salted.

Dessert - Gluten-free Chocolate Chip Cookie ($3.50): After a scrumptious meal, I couldn't resist trying their gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. Although it was slightly gritty in texture, it didn't deter my enjoyment of its rich flavor. Its ample size made it a delightful treat to end the meal with.

The service at The Hidden Chickpea was equally commendable. Griffin, impressed me with his kindness, attentiveness, and patience, enhancing the overall dining experience.

For some reason on this day I was nervous about going out to eat by myself. I almost drove away when I got there, but I'm so glad I went in. The Hidden Chickpea proved to be a gem in the Madison area, offering an inviting atmosphere, creative dishes, and wonderful service. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their delectable offerings on the menu.

Cute decor - Vegan/vegetarian default menu

Each menu item is clearly labeled VG for vegan, V for vegetarian and/or GF for gluten free. They offer meat, but vegan is the default. For example, you can order a Beyond Burger swapping it for beef hamburger for $4 more! (I love how the vegan option costs less). Staff was super friendly and helpful as this was our first visit.

Pros: Vegan/vegetarian is the default, Cute decor, Friendly helpful staff

Awesome Addition to Madison.

Madison is beautiful town but terrible for vegans. I said what I said.
This is an amazing addition!
I brought my omni husband who can order meat off-menu.

Pros: Can get non-Vegan but vegan dominates, Delish! , Yum

Cons: None, None, None
