Great to have a few options in Vava’u

Staff were very friendly and happy to answer questions ensuring that specific items on the vegetarian menu were vegan. Vegan isn’t a common dietary choice in Tonga, but when spelt out that we want no meat, dairy or eggs, they are happy to check with chefs to confirm. One meal was labeled as vegan which was great to see, and they were happy to change the tacos to be made vegan also.

Pros: Eggplant in a dish which was a first for here!

Cons: The dishes were simple with only a few ingredients
