5-Star vegan sandwiches - Edit
This is a hip, funky joint specializing in beer and high-caliber sandwiches. There are only about a dozen sandwiches on the menu, and about a third of them are vegan. We had the Tofu Banh Mi (tofu, pickled daikon and carrot, jalapeno, cilantro, sriracha, hoisin on Italian roll) - it was absolutely scrumptious. And also the vegan version of their Rachel (tofu, kraut, slaw, vegan cheese, Russian dressing on grilled rye) and it was positively delicious. Two excellent side notes: the potato salad is vegan and it is GREAT, and if someone wants the Tofu Banh Mi made with meat instead of tofu, there is an upcharge. I love that. They also have a chickpea salad sandwich and an enticing-looking one called the Esmerelda that has artichokes and vegan feta and a bunch of other veggies. Great place will be back.

These were some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The marinated tofu is fantastic, and it was so great to have more than one or two options!! We had a short stay in Wilmington and this was our one stop for lunch. I wish we could have made it back the next day

The Best Vegan Sandwiches EVER - Edit
I can’t say enough good things about The Half! They deserve five stars! Not only do they have a number of dedicated vegan sandwiches, but you can also modify a lot of the sandwiches on their menu to be vegan-friendly. The Clara is the perfect summer sandwich and you cannot miss out on the Mumbai in the wintertime. And don’t forget the pickle!

Great food and atmosphere - Edit
This is a great sandwich place with awesome vegan options (the Benji rocks) as well as options for meat-eaters. The food is super yummy and the vibes are good. It's a little off the beaten path but walkable from the Wilson Center or Dead Crow for a pre-show meal. Friendly staff. We all left with full bellies.

I absolutely love The Half. They have a ton of vegan sandwiches. Most of their sandwiches have a vegan option, and they have special sandwiches from time to time. Their chips with Old Bay and a pickle as a side is a must. I crave this place about everyday. The guys their are so great. A must go!

Best Sandwiches, Great Ambience! - Edit
Plenty of vegan sandwich options as well as non vegan to please everyone in a mixed group. There are little to no vegan sandwich options in town and The Half has solved the problem. The sandwiches are amazing, flavourful and reasonably priced. I was craving a Bahn Mi and The Half definitely delivered! The chips are clearly house made and delicious. Even though this isn’t a 100% vegan establishment, you can tell that whoever created the sandwiches here definitely knows how to make vegan food. The ambience really just ties the whole experience together. Staff are friendly and helpful too. I can’t wait to come back.

We had the eggplant sub & the chickpea sub. Huge portions/-could have shared. Staff is very vegan-friendly. Delicious food, not made as an afterthought like most non-vegan places.
