Long wait times and not delicious

I'm a bit delayed writing this review.

Visited on a weekday, as we had spare time before an appointment. Was not advised it would be a long time for food.

I ordered the Shepards Pie, took about an hour. One bite, and it was easily one of the worst things I had tasted. By this point, I was very hungry and a bit annoyed.

I might just have had a bad experience but it's not one I'm willing to retry.

Pros: Atmosphere is nice

Cons: Long wait time, Not good food

Delicious Sunday roast and dessert

The vegan cashew and cranberry roast & chocolate cake dessert was delicious! We sat outside in the garden. The bill was affordable. Keen to go back to try the vegan Quorn chicken burger.

Afternoon tea

Had afternoon tea here and thought it was great! Amazing value for money (£20 for bottomless tea/coffee, two humongous scones, cakes and sandwiches) and very very tasty food. Only thing was I think they gave me margarine instead of another clotted cream option, but maybe that would be to someone else’s taste…? Didn’t mind though as I’ll happily only have jam! Recommend.

Lovely Meal

The East Surrey Vegans had a meetup here and all really enjoyed the food. For my main I had the teriyaki stir fry, and dessert I went for the choc tart, which also had orange in which wasn't mentioned. A little more pricey than other local venues, but hopefully that just means everything is more freshly prepped, and the setting is nice.

Pros: Lots to choose from, Setting

Cons: Higher prices than other places

Separate vegan menu

Gastro pub near Nonsuch Park. Pleasant interior plus outside seating. Separate vegan menu with two starters, four main dishes and three desserts. I had a jackfruit burger with chips, which was nice apart from the fact that the lettuce had not been thoroughly washed. For dessert, I had a chocolate tart with ice cream, which was attractively presented and also very nice. I arrived at 3 PM on a Sunday. There were no free tables inside – fortunately, the weather was good enough to sit outside. It would be as well to make a reservation.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Attractive surroundings, Friendly staff

Cons: Not that cheap
