No sign of fake meat great menu - Edit
We had a family birthday lunch here today (October 2024). The coffee was really good. The food was great nice too see a vegan menu with no fake meat. The six of us sampled several main courses everyone had eyes on my Tofu on toast which was delicious and just the right amount.

We drive from York today but aim to come on the train next time.

Had a glorious lunch here, me and my mum both got a salad bowl and the presentation, flavour, portion size and abundance of healthy ingredients was 10/10! The cakes were also delicious and such a choice, will definitely be returning 😋

Visited for lunch, it took me ages to decide as I wanted to try everything on the menu! In the end I chose the Power bowl, I was not disappointed. Fresh, tasty, vibrant and full of goodness. The iced caramel latte also hit the spot on this warm sunny day. I left feeling nourished and satiated. Friendly staff. Dog friendly cafe.

Visited The Greenhouse for lunch today 27/01/24 (around 2pm on a Saturday). Absolutely delicious fully vegan food and smoothies. The menu was excellent, with a variety of options. I had the mushrooms a la crème- delish and a really good portion for the price. My non-vegan brother found their energy bowl main delicious too. The service was also excellent- friendly and served in an appropriate time. I would highly recommend and will be back again soon.

I had never heard of this place until yesterday and I’m so happy I found it because what a hidden gem it is!
Read moreHad a really exciting menu which had typical brunch things as well as salady bowls and desserts. They also have regular menu changes such as ‘soup of the day’, ‘bowl of the week’ and ‘sandwich of the week.’
I got the soup of the week which was a black bean soup and omg I made the best decision. It was a huge portion and came with 2 slices of sourdough bread all for £4.95 which I thought was really great value. The soup was really thick and full of flavour and the sourdough was just so perfect for it.
My boyfriend got the chill-out bowl which was huge and had sweet potato, falafel, salad and other delicious things on it. The houmous was so good!
Then we got some cake to take away. I got the tahini caramel millionaire shortbread which wow, was one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time. The caramel was so soft and worked so well with the chocolate. My boyfriend got the lemon drizzle cake which was good but maybe a little on the dry side.

Lovely pancakes but limited menu - Edit
We visited The Greenhouse twice, at the end of a 6 mile hike from Leeds Centre. Once, they were closing in 10 minutes and wouldn’t let us buy anything, not even cake to take. The second time, they had just changed ownership so the menu online was not what they were actually serving.
Read moreI was excited to try the cheeseboard but they were no longer offering it, along with a large selection of other menu items which were now crossed off. I was quite disappointed but I opted for pancakes instead. The pancakes were lovely and fluffy and I enjoyed them. My aunt also enjoyed her breakfast.
We decided to take some cake with us to eat at the end of our hike and were both quite looking forward to it for the rest of the day. When we finally sat down to eat, we were both very disappointed - don’t get me wrong, we both have a sweet tooth but this was sickly, pure sugar with no flavour. We both agreed that was the first time we had ever not been able to finish a piece of cake.
The staff were very friendly and talkative, presumably the new owners and they did say they were in the process of changing a few things and creating new menus so I would like to go back and see what’s on the menu now!

First try of a local vegan cafe yesterday. I went for one of the Buddha bowls which was pretty good, some items were preserved, (beetroot etc) rather than fresh and the whole plate was covered in mayo, so that was the overpowering flavour. It’s still a 4/5 because it was a nice space and service was good.

Travelled a little way for this, but worth it. Suspected I'd be hungry after having looked at the menu beforehand, but had the soup of the day and the scrambled tofu, and was stuffed full. Excellent value for money, and blatantly a popular local spot for food and drink as it was packed when we arrived at about 2pm. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Fantastic cafe located in Horsforth, not too far from a good car park. Most recently had the mushrooms on toast, which like the rest of the menu continues to impress. Fantastic service and a really beautiful cafe. The Maude coffee is also excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed everytime I've been!

This was our first visit to the Greenhouse and we were delighted with our food. The menu was pretty limited but that’s a good thing when you’re indecisive! I chose the mushrooms and shared a soup. Both were delicious and tasty. The staff were friendly and accommodating too. Thank you. We will be back when we are next in the area again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. We ordered the hummus avacado and mushroom fricassee, which were so flavourful and really well seasoned. This was followed by a divine slice (or should I say slab) of pumpkin spiced cake that I had to finish the next day. Truly delicious and great value for money. We also ordered a hot cross bun for our young son, which was tasty too and a superb soya decaf latte and smoothie. Staff and the calming vibe also make the Greenhouse a special place to visit.

We went to Horsforth to pick something up and decided to stop here for lunch. I ordered the Vitality bowl (I highly recommend that, the flavours come together so nicely), my partner had the mushroom fricassee on sourdough which he also really enjoyed, he also had a bubble waffle for dessert, which we somewhat (!) shared and we also ordered the Aphrodite smoothie and a match-chai latte. Everything was great and the staff was super friendly. We sat upstairs first but moved downstairs, where it was much more airy and bright, the hustle and bustle there was also lovely (although not everyone enjoys that).We really wish we lived closer because we would definitely come more often!
