Amazing options - Edit
We have been there 3 times already in few days. That says a lot. Delicious food and excellent service. Place is clean and welcoming. Blue majik smoothie bowl and açai bowl are fantastic. All salads are excellent.

Organic Vegan food on the Beach - Edit
Love that there are some healthy vegan options right on the beach front. I don’t know what I would have eaten for breakfast every day without them. I highly recommend their avocado toast and Golden Latte.

THE BEST!!! Will always support this place. Locally owned & women led, this place always has fresh & interesting food. Makes incredibly healthy desserts & meals without a bunch of added sugar & keeps ingredients simple. Owner also makes amazing vegan cakes that are sooooooo so so good.

Something to note is that the written menu inside the store does not necessarily reflect what ingredients they have available. I went in with my heart set on a Blue Majik smoothie bowl, but the only two variations they had listed were Acai and Peanut Butter Chocolate.
Read moreDamn. But I thought to myself that I can appreciate the owners wanting to downsize their menu because of covid. What really hurt was when (after waiting at least 15 mins for my smoothie bowl) I saw a worker walk pass my table with the coveted Blue Majik Smoothie Bowl (they also ordered after me but I'm not going to be thaaat petty).
In conclusion... they broke my heart (jk).
But really, I'll be back since the Acai bowl I got instead was pretty awesome in its own right. The consistency was not unlike a Dairy Queen blizzard and it was dessert sweet thanks to a fair amount of added sugar in the form of agave syrup. I also didn't feel weighed down after eating it, which is a major plus.

had the "French Kiss" smoothie yesterday. today, had the "green goddess" toast & the "sipping on Zen" smoothie. hubby got the "post workout" smoothie, and I had a sip of that. everything is delicious.

Me and my family really enjoyed the smoothies there albeit they were really pricey. I loved how you could substitute ingredients and customize your own drinks. I also personally enjoyed the vegan treats, and premade foods available in the front of the store from other vendors.

The food was so fresh and organic 😋 We went several times during our visit and each time was just a delicious as before.
The green fruit bowl was loaded, so healthy and filling. The avocado toast was done to perfection topped with micro greens!

Great little spot for a light meal with tons of great vegan options. Wide variety of smoothies, with great selection of bowls, oatmeal, soup, salad, and toast. There’s a grab and go section as well if you don’t have time to eat in. Small outdoor seating area, but a great ambiance both inside and out.

The green cat is an adorable small shop and cafe. They sell jewelry (made with stones, lava beads, etc.), neat clothing, and other fun holistic things (even CBD oil!) The cafe and juice bar is delicious and contains an array of food, smoothies, and health drinks all of which are vegan. The food, atmosphere, and decor are all lovely and aesthetic.

I haven't eaten here but tried the vegan chili at the Veg Fest. It was so good that I craved it for several days afterwards. Hardy and tasty. I can't wait to try more of their vegan food.

I love this place! First, I was greeted with a genuine hello and a big smile. Before, I looked at the food offerings I couldn't help but look at the cute little jewelry/gift area. Before I knew it I had one of their cool t-shirts in my hand plus a pair of earrings for a friend's birthday! Then, I looked at the sandwich case (because I was heading to the beach) and picked up a Chix salad over lemon marinated kale and a piece of carrot cake.....and a bag of chips w/ avocado oil (anything with avocado usually ends up in my hands!). I didn't get a drink because I had water in the car. However, I can't wait to get back to try one of their smoothies because they look thick, creamy and awesome! Also, they have an adorable eating area so I can totally see myself relaxing here and just enjoying some downtime with friends or just by myself. P.S. the chix salad and carrot cake were delicious and a perfect thing to bring to the beach. I totally recommend you visit this place if you like healthy, fresh vegan eats!

Great spot on the beach. I traveled from out of town and couldn't locate this on happy cow under "vegan", luckily I found it because it's amazing. Wish they could just switch to agave nectar to get listed as vegan, or I could not be so dumb and look at the veggie options... Amazing mushroom soup!

My mom and I came down to Virginia Beach for college orientation. By the end of our 5 hour road trip we were starving, so I looked on HappyCow to see the nearest vegan/vegetarian restaurant around, and The Green Cat was on top of the list. We were not disappointed. The food was scrumptious! I got the kale pesto salad and the moon milk w/ a pineapple coconut muffin for dessert. The Green Cat will definitely be a go-to for when I'm in college.
