Wonderful - Edit
The Globe is my favorite restaurant in Madison. The food is wonderful and they will make it hot (spicy) if you ask! Their curries are my comfort food. I haven’t found a single (vegan/vegetarian) thing on the menu that I dislike. I would give it a 5 star rating if I could.

Authentic British food - Edit
I was so shocked at how good the British food was. Excellent flavors. The workers know what vegan means and are happy to make substitutes

Solid - Edit
I was in the mood for steamed veg, and The Globe delivered. The fresh steamed local greens were so light and refreshing. It comes with a side of sesame soy sauce. Order rice separately.

A delightful dinner - Edit
Visiting Madison for the first time. Searching for a good veg meal. (Sadly we only learned later that it was, in fact, Madison Vegan Fest that day. Really need to do our research better next time.) We saw great reviews for the Globe. It had also been a Wisconsin football day, so the town was still crawling with (disappointed) fans, but we did manage to find some parking.
Read moreThe staff at the Globe was very friendly. The food choices were great. We ended up splitting the Vegetarian Tibetan Dumplings and the Indian Tic-Tac Curry. It was incredibly good. They kept the rice coming and we had plenty to eat.
My wife got a mango lassi and I got a banana lassi. Banana! Right? I know. It was delicious, if a bit pricy.
Food was fabulous. Staff were very nice. We sat outside and watch roving bands of drunk students, parents and alumni wander the streets. It was definitely a memorable evening.
Pros: Delicious food, Friendly staff, Killer lassis
Cons: Lassis were a bit overpriced

Delicious and diverse food for vegans - Edit
65-70% of menu is vegan or can be made vegan. The menu is basically designed to showcase various types of cuisine around the world letting each customer pick his/her own protein (tofu was an option). Owner was extremely helpful and customer-focused.
Read moreWe ordered the Tibetan vegetable fried dumplings, Asian fusion fried rice with tofu, and Chili buff with tofu. All 3 were very tasty. We ordered spice level of 3 out of 5, and both main courses were at the top of our spice range (would not want them any hotter).
Small areas for seating are located both inside and outside. Several carry-out orders were picked up while we were there.
Pros: excellent variety and quality, most dishes came with vegan protein option, owner was super friendly and helpful
Cons: small seating area

Tasty Food with Quality Service - Edit
Went in on Monday for some lunch, we asked what can be made vegan and were given a bunch of options. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all quite good. BBQ Tofu and Tic Tac with Tofu were the highlights for sure.

We loved this place. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is in the student part of town, which is cool. The Korean BBQ and Tofu Curry bowls were fantastic.

Awesome food and owners - Edit
This is a gem for vegans in Madison. The food is delicious and made to order. They have small plates where my husband overdoes it with Samosas, Onion Bhaji (not sure how to spell) dumplings fried and steamed and a delicious soba salad that got a first place at Taste of Madison. The mains are delicious too. Korean BBQ Tofu is my favorite. But I’ve tried Mango Curry and a couple others too. We go there once a week.

Dinner - Edit
We had a wonderful dinner here. I had the Thai coconut curry and 15 bean soup. My husband had the Korean bbq curry with coconut cauliflower chowder soup. We split the vegetarian Tibetan dumplings. Everything came out piping hot and fresh. Delicious! $31 with tip for both of us. Small restaurant with only 5 tables to dine in. Many people were picking up take out. Lots of vegan options! I’d definitely eat here again.

Great Food at a Good Price - Recommended! - Edit
Nearly everything has a tofu option or can be veganized. I got the Buff Chili bowl with tofu, mildly spicy. Served over rice with veggies -- delicious! My wife had the Bean Ball sandwich vegan style, which resembled a Greek gyro with falafel instead of meat. She loved it! Both came with a small bean soup side, included in my meal and hers gratis. Total bill was $17 before tip.

What a great find in Madison! - Edit
I am a vegan who travels a lot for work. Finding places like The Globe is what makes traveling such an enjoyable adventure. I just spent a week in Madison and ate dinner at the Globe every night (ad lunch when I could). They are very friendly and the food is excellent.
Read moreI am not someone who jumps at the chance to go a restaurant that serves "global cuisine", in my experience that often means they don't do any type of cuisine particularly well. The Globe does it all spectacularly well, I tried their soup, their Bento Box (best I have had), their Korean BBQ with tofu (incredibly tasty), Chilli buff with rice and veggies, and the bean balls with pita sandwich (bad name great sandwich) - it was all wonderful. There is a ton of flavor in everything, it's their own take on every dish.
Yes they serve meat, but there are a ton of vegetarian and vegan options and they are very accommodating. I can't wait to be back in Madison!
Pros: Very Tasty!, Very Fast!, Very affordable!

Great Little Place - Edit
Everything I've had so far has been great. The majority of the menu is vegan or can be made vegan. The owner/chef obviously knows what veganism is and is happy to help/accommodate.
