Limited vegan options - Edit
Sadly not as many vegan options as previously.
Read moreI had the rainbow hash, the vegan option was with scrambled tofu.
The latte I ordered with almond milk curdled.
Lots of space - out front by the road, indoors and in the rear garden. Many people working online.

It would have 5 stars if it was fully veggie - Edit
We love the garden and go there frequently. Their selection of breakfasts and interesting coffee always gets us off the the right start. The owners and all of the staff are lovely and welcoming. It’s one reason living in Hale is so ideal.

Lovely but portions can be small for price - Edit
I really love The Garden, food always delicious and good choice but on more than a few occasions the portions have been “mean” eg sparse for the price compared to other vegan places… especially the take away. I’ve mentioned it but not sure it’s been noted.

Love this place - Edit
Superb plant-based cafe. Although they offer meat, fish & dairy, it is more of a garnish than a centrepiece. Vegans can eat very well here. It’s all about healthy options & food is top quality. The rainbow hash with mushrooms is particularly good. Most if not all salad bar items are vegan. The toasted banana bread is delicious. Great choice of drinks including smoothies, juices & hot drinks such as my favourite Black Magic with activated charcoal.
Read morePros: Lots of choices for vegans, Food is healthy & delicious, Helpful staff keen to please
Cons: Expensive , Tables can be scarce at peak times, Sometimes quite a few items have chilli in them

What a lovely find! - Edit
We were visiting this area for the first time to hold a charity event and couldn’t believe our luck when we found this little gem for breakfast. We all had the Garden breakfast with a side of halloumi and a Thrive juice, absolutely delicious! Great portions, great ambiance and lovely staff. Will definitely come again and wish we lived closer!

Lovely cafe - Edit
Was in the area specifically to try a vegan cafe but it was closed! I was recommended to go here and I was definitely not disappointed. There was vegan cake chopped up to sample at the counter which was a lovely surprise. There was lots to choose from on the menus - I opted for a cacao smoothie and a granola bowl and sat out in the sunshine. Great speedy service, lovely staff, lots of choice, tasty food and drinks, I would definitely recommend it and come back!

Unique vegan breakfast. Top class "cheese"cake - Edit
Came here for breakfast after a Manchester Vegan Runners meet-up. Jammed (with young women for some reason) at 10am. Service was good. There seemed to be a good few vegan options and I opted for the Plant-powered breakfast which featured sour dough toast, tofu scramble, cherry toms, avo, home made beans, 'shrooms, Japanese pickle thing I forget the name of and a sweet potato hash brown. It was delicious. Maybe pricey but worth the experience, I'd say. I got raw banoffee cheesecake to take away and it was mind-blowing. Worth the trip just for that. Highly recommend.

Great vegan afternoon tea - Edit
The Garden has quite a tempting-looking menu for breakfast and lunch, but I was only there for afternoon tea, and it was delicious! They ask for 1 week's notice for vegan afternoon tea, and it is served in a very colourful, attractive style. The sandwiches were so good, really fresh and flavourful. We had some bliss balls (raw date bites) in three different flavours, and they were really good too. For the cakes, we had a really decadent brownie and a fresh, creamy fruit cheesecake. It was £20 per person, and I really enjoyed it.
