Relaxing place with tasty food - Edit
Although the vegetarian menu is not too big, it actually made it easier to choose and everything we ordered was all delicious (corn curry, egplant with rice, banana pancakes, coconut coffee). The outdoor area is pleasant and cosy.

5 stars if possible - Edit
I went there 2 times and really enjoyed the coziness of this place! Tried the noodles with springrolls which were super nice and fried rice which was a little bit too simple with flavors for me… however still liked it. In the homestay there is the cutest doggie ever

Decent lunch - Edit
I would say this is a decent place to stop for lunch if you’ve been to the citadel or are otherwise in the area. But I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
Read moreI had fried rice with tofu and veg which was nice, and a ginger tea.
They only had outside tables (as far as I could see).

Not bad, dogs worth going to visit - Edit
Two of the cutest dogs ever were there to greet us and enjoyed a fuss while we waited for our food. Food was okay but wouldn’t rush back, spring roll dish is just dry noodles and salad with spring rolls. Bahn Mi was good though and it was very reasonably priced

Fresh, simple - just amazing! - Edit
After visiting Citadel it is a great place to rest and eat lunch😊 it is hidden from main road, small garden in the shadow. The menu is short, and most likely because of that the food is so fresh and tasty! The waitress is super kind and speaks English which is a plus!
Read morePlease note (confirmed by waitress) that smoothies are based on cow's milk and they do not have plant based replacements.
Before ordering, just double check with waitress which dishes from vegetarian menu are vegan🙂

Great lunch - Edit
We had lunch here and the food is great! They also have non vegetarian options, eventhough the name might suggest otherwise. The service is great and the puppers are super cute!!

Nice Vegan Vietnamese Lunch! - Edit
They had a page of vegetarian options most of which were vegan. We had a vegan tofu Bahn Mi and spring roll noodles- both were really nice. Also they had 2 adorable and very sociable dogs🥹

Wonderful place - Edit
We visited The Garden Café after exploring the citadel and it was the perfect place to relax after that kind of sightseeing. It is very easy to reach the café from the citadel: If you leave through the West Gate (Chuong Duc Gate), you just have to cross the bridge on the side and then follow the street that starts directly opposite the gate.
Read moreEntering the grounds of the café was like entering a calm haven, it is so green and everything is like a garden indeed. We sat on the porch and had a lovely view of the courtyard and its trees. The staff were very friendly. There is one page of vegetarian dishes on the menu and all of these are vegan except the curry.
My husband had the steamed rice with tofu and vegetables while I had the fried rice. Both were simple dishes that had a great taste and were filling. We also had a banh mi for take away that we had in the hotel later, it was good, too, although there were an awful lot of onions in it.
We loved our visit here and recommend it very much.
