Beautiful Pub on the Common - Edit
This Vintage Inn pub lies directly on Coulsdon Common so the surroundings are beautiful and so is the garden and the inside of the pub itself, with a warm, homely feeling. It is perfect for both summer or winter.
Read moreThe food is pretty standard for a Vintage Inn chain. They no longer provide a separate egan menu but there are clear vegan options in the starter, main, dessert and kids' menu. I was happy to find a vegan burger made with a mushroom patty instead of the typical Beyond or Moving Mountains. They also had a really good vegan sauce as well as vegan mayo. There was also a Penang curry and a couple of other things. Tomato pasta for kids and a peach jelly dessert.
The dessert options were pretty limited but the crumble can be made vegan with vegan custard, which was nice and a big portion.
After dinner, you can take a pleasant stroll down to Happy Valley.
