Plant Based Crispy Chicken Sandwich - excellent

We were surprised to see a vegan menu in the burger heavy menu at Foodie Cafe (which did include two plant based burgers). My wife and I both tried their new plant based crispy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was served on a ciabatta style roll with lettuce and tomato. For sides we ordered their french fries and tater tots. We've tried several plant based crispy chicken sandwiches and this was perhaps the best one we both agreed. We would definitely recommend Foodie Cafe!

Pros: excellent food, good value, nice staff

Cons: limited vegan items on the menu

Subpar Vegan Options

While I appreciate them trying to accommodate vegans, my partner and I tried a couple of the vegan options when they first put them on the menu and we weren't impressed. The coleslaw on my sandwich tasted off like it either wasn't stored correctly or was old and my partner's grilled cheese had more balsamic vinegar than any other ingredients. Maybe they have since worked out some of the kinks but, for the price, I feel there are better options in town so we haven't been back. Their french fries are delicious, though.

Pros: Delicious french fries, Clearly labeled vegan options

Cons: Expensive, Off tasting food

A few good choices

The BBQ jackfruit sandwich was delicious. Next time I will ask for dry bread; it came grilled and too much oil for me.
Excellent service.

Pros: Friendly staff, Good food , Outside dining available

Cons: A bit noisy with the lunch crowd
