Vegans and other full flavor lovers - don’t miss this! - Edit
This place is not to be missed. Even if you are not visiting St Augustine it is worth the trip. Vegans so often must settle for mediocre meals because so few places have Chefs like Jenny? Genny ? Whom ever, she is amazing. Stick with the tofu and you will be amazed at the flavors that entice your buds. The entire combo of the Autumn Curry is pure delight ! If 5 stars were allowed (not) I certainly would award this place is l”as good as it gets”.

Perfect for dinner - Edit
This place will be perfect for vegans and non vegans. Most of the menu can be customized and waiters are very good at giving you suggestions or accommodating your requests. Food was delicious, I think it can impress non vegans very easily. The place is busy so it’s better to have reservation.

Overall a great place - Edit
Overall, this is a great little place in St Augustine that offers a few vegan options (substitutions). I had the tempeh tacos. They were just OK. But the fingerling potatoes that came with them were delish. The atmosphere and service here are wonderful. The outdoor patios were quaint, and my server and hostess were absolutely lovely.

Awesome ambience. Delicious food. Friendly staff. They offer the possibility of making vegan half of the menu (with tofu or tempeh). Also, i was surprised of how cheap they sell the wine.

Salad was the worst. - Edit
The salad I ordered was off. It tasted like cigarettes smell. Couldn't eat it and it was expensive. Won't be back and I live really close, what a shame.

Great dinner near a touristy area - Edit
We had sat down to eat at a nearby restaurant with no vegan and gluten free options and our server recommended this restaurant. Food, service and ambience were terrific. I’d highly recommend.

Terrific food - Edit
Thank goodness we found the Floridian among the legions of eateries in the historic district. This hip-casual restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are knowledgable and helpful, but best - the food is terrific. There are many veg & vegan choices, including tempeh & tofu, plus there are vegan desserts. They also serve beer and wine.

Pet friendly lovely place - Edit
There’s enough seats outside to come with your furry one. They’ll list people with dogs and work it out so you’ll get a seat. But is a very popular and gets really busy so you might have to wait for them to call you (or text you).

They know how to prepare vegan food so you’ll eat all the protein you need and eat delicious.

YES! Several Vegan Options! - Edit
What a great experience! The Floridian serves all types of food but caters to vegetarian and vegan guests. The Golden Winter Curry with Tempeh or Tofu is very good- this is what I ordered! They also have a handful of bowls with quinoa, black beans, and veggies. You may need to do a few alterations for an ingredient or two on the bowls, but plenty of veggies! They also had a vegan black bean soup not on the menu. 5 stars in my book!

Food was very tasty and atmosphere, lovely. We sat on the patio and they had fans pointing at us from various directions to keep us cool. Almost all meals can be made with either tofu or tempeh. Highly recommend!

Best dining experience I’ve had in a long time! - Edit
Came here for a night out with my (mostly vegan) boyfriend & we were both blown away by the service, the experience & the food! First off, our waiter was very attentive, accommodating & gave excellent vegan recommendations. Also, the drink menu is rather extensive, with great beer & wine selections, as well as tasty cocktails. We got the chips & dip (house-made kettle chips with fresh cut veggies & a garlicky hummus a black bean poblano dip). Then, for dinner i got the Nicoise (not a salad at all, but rather delicious potato, zucchini, summer squash dish in a tomatoey sauce, topped with grilled tofu (waiter raved about the addition of the tofu)), and my boyfriend got the greens & grains bowl with blackened tempeh - so so delicious! A lot of the menu items allow for the substitution of tempeh or tofu and even mention the fact that they can be prepared vegan or vegetarian upon request, which makes ordering vegan so easy. Definitely recommend The Floridian if you’re in the St. Augustine area!

DO NOT GO HERE - Edit
My family of 8 came here on Memorial Day expecting to eat good food per reviews. We were told they were out of shrimp so that cut off a quarter of the menu. Then the waitress recommended the spicy melt with the catch of the day and we were in for a rude awakening. They served us a little 2oz piece of fish that fit only on Half of the hoggie. We had 7 of these sandwiches so we were extremely disappointed. Not only the shorted portions, but the servers and manager were rude to my entire family. I would not recommend never going to this restaurant.

Great vegetable stew - Edit
One vegan with a group of non-vegans. The vegan vegetable stew (5*) has a tasty dark broth (good for dipping bread) with base of roasted tomatoes & garbanzo beans with additional vegs (carrots, onions, etc). Delicious FGT BLT per non-vegan. Multiple deserts (skipped by me) including vegan were great per others.

Lunch at The Floridian - Edit
We went there for the 1st time on Thursday for lunch. I had the Elkhorn Salad and Grains. It was delicious. It came with blackened tempeh that I can't wait to attempt to duplicate. My husband had the Winter Salad and loved it. They were super nice in regards to leaving off cheese, so that the dish was 100% vegan! We will definitely go back the next we are in St. Augustine!

Fresca burrito with blackened tofu is amazing - Edit
Yummy all around!! The burrito was hands down one of the best meals I have had in a while. After mentioning I was vegan the waitress let me know if a special vegan sauce they had available that made the burrito delish!! The house vinaigrette is also vegan and so yummy!!!

Few options without soy - Edit
Not a lot of vegan options other than tofu and tempeh, but they will work with you to create something. Decent flavors, but not going to stop people in the street to tell them how great it was.
