Great little place - Edit
Very nice setting with seating outside. Super friendly staff. Ordered the burrito and fries and it was delicious. Also ordered a Bloody Mary that was one of the best I’ve had, Will definitely come here again next time I’m in town.

I got my fix at the fix😎 - Edit
The Fix was an excellent vegan stop during my day trip to KC! It was in a really cool historic building that used to be an old pharmacy. The music is great and the food is even better! A great atmosphere with cute decorations and large windows giving you natural light and a glimpse of the activity outside. The food was excellent. I got the TLT (tofu, lettuce and tomato sandwich) and it was delicious! It had vegan thousand island dressing which was the first I’ve had since going vegan 5 years ago! The fries were soft but you’re given a lot of them and kind of remind me of potato’s you’d get with a breakfast burrito. My non vegan friend was very impressed with her vegan chicken tenders. She said they were in her top-5 best chicken tender list. Those are served with the same fries as the TLT. The only thing I didn’t love was the price, a bit high considering you have to order at the counter and then pick up/bus your food- and you’re still asked if you want to tip.
Read moreOverall, we really liked the fix!! Definitely a great option for road trippers and locals too.
Pros: Great atmosphere! great music and vibe, Lots of options, GREAT food and good portion sizes

Good food with gluten-free options. We both got the double cheeseburger, but my husband got his without cheese as seen in the picture. We would come here again to try everything else!

Fantastic Vegan Fare! Don't Miss The Fix! - Edit
Entirely plant-based establishment serving up *delicious* food.
Read moreNote: Their main menu changes/rotates but some things seem to always be available -- be sure to check the menu online to see options besides what's listed on the chalk board.
Fast-casual style, walk in and place your order at the counter, then get a buzzer to come pick up your food when it's ready.
Love the vibe, from the large street-facing windows to the fun wall art (which seems to rotate/change).
Will definitely be back again soon!
Pros: entirely plant based! order anything & everything!, has anything you could want from sweet to savory, I personally have not had a 'bad' meal here
Cons: Nothing to dislike!

Loved their breakfast burrito! It was soft, delicious, and satiating. I also liked their street tacos. They also had sweet treats and banana cake was on point! Total deliciousness and enjoyable food.

Busy spot for tasty food - Edit
On a trip to Kansas City, this restaurant was at the top of my list to visit. The from-scratch bean burger hit the spot, the fries were very good. Not a fan of the torte dessert though. They offer a wide variety of drinks including kombucha.

I ordered the fried breakfast burrito with rice and potatoes - you should not miss this one. I also had street tacos with mushroom and beyond meat, it was good too. The chili was average. But overall 5 stars. Staff is friendly and the place has an old rugged look to it. I liked it.

Who needs KC Barbecue! - Edit
Wonderful location with a staff and owner who embrace their role as a “transition” restaurant. The location has an artistic vintage vibe located in the historic Union District (I think).
Read moreThe menu offerings are reminiscent of a fun Friday night with burgers and “chic’n sammies” mixed with a hearty home cooked meals… can you say BISCUITS & GRAVY.

Pros: Tons of options for all taste, Knowledge staff, Cool vibe

Awesome recreations - Edit
The biscuits taste like normal biscuits with butter. The fried chicken has great crisp but it's a little chewy since it's seitan. The sour cream and ranch sauces are very close to their dairy versions. The loaded fries are delicious, and the nuttiness in the cheese sauce is welcome.

With a multitude of options in KC, I wish I’d picked elsewhere. - Edit
Staff is friendly. Restaurant is located in a rough around the edges neighborhood (this doesn’t bother me. Sometimes appearances are deceiving.) Menu has lots of yummy sounding options. I selected the nachos. I was disappointed in both the flavor of the cheese sauce and the chips. It was a large portion though. Which I ate, because there was no time to get something else (keep this in mind when I tell the next part.)
Read moreAs we were sitting there, I observed an employee (manager or owner, not sure) ask multiple customers how their meal was. He never approached us. My friend was sitting facing the wall. She saw something move on the floor and it was a mouse. We alerted an employee who came over and tried to chase it out through a hole in the wall. I assume he was successful because he proceeded to fill the hole with expanding foam.
We were there for another 20 minutes after this happened. The owner/manager (or whoever he was) NEVER came over to talk to us. Had he done that, I probably wouldn’t have included it his part in the review. Just felt very rude.
Oh, and the bathroom needed cleaned. A restaurant’s bathroom says a lot about the establishment.

Vegan Nostalgia - Edit
Restaurant has a lot of charm. I got the TLT smoked tofu/avocado sandwich. Very tasty but I think the tofu should have been smoked longer. This was like an old fashion diner experience. The pumpkin pie is kick ass, huge slices too. Love that everything there is fully plant based. If i had more time in KC, I’d def come back and try the Buffalo Cauliflower and jalapeño poppers.

Terrific Food! - Edit
My wife and I stopped here for dinner, and we are delighted that we did! We each ordered one of the specials: she had the fried "chicken" and I had the pasta and "chicken". Both dinners were truly delicious. The fried "chicken" in both dishes was truly excellent -- crispy, succulent, and very tasty. My wife's order came with mashed potatoes and string beans. My pasta and "chicken" were also yummy -- the pasta was fresh and light, and the perfectly-spiced marinara sauce also contained portabella mushrooms, green and red peppers, etc. The portions were definitely filling.

good junkfood - Edit
Lots of good and interesting options, sometimes the choices at all vegan places are boring but these were not. I got the biscuits and gravy (with impossible sausage) and it slapped, easily the only good biscuits and gravy I've had since going vegan. The inside is cute as well, a bit small but very cozy. I forget what the group I was with got, I think the nashville chicken sandwich and some sandwich with mac n cheese on it, it looked v good though

Stopped in as we continued our cross country road trip since it was close to where we were staying. Owner very friendly and asked about our journey. Biscuits and gravy and a plain biscuit with jelly hit the spot. Easy parking in the big lot diagonally from the restaurant. Thanks for filling our bellies!

Amazing! - Edit
We stopped in today and were so pleased with our experience. The menu was limited but still had plenty of options and the staff were SO friendly. The food came fast and was delicious. I tried the avocado BLT and loaded fries and they were both so good. The only thing I questioned was that one wall is pretty “rustic” with degrading layers of paint/plaster - I wondered if it was a lead paint risk.

Tired and hungry after shopping at the city market. Not sure what to expect with KC vegan food, being an LA girl…. Not disappointed! This food is bomb.com! I ordered the avo blt, it was delightfully Smokey, and light. The fries were just right. My party ordered the enchiladas, Nashville Sammie, and the chicken parm Sammie… all delicious!
