Nachos and shakes - Edit
The Brussels sprout nachos is where it is at! They also make a nice shake, smoothie or juice. Nice atmosphere, kind staff.

Oh my sweet potato! - Edit
Ruby Jeans is a great local business with fresh smoothies, juices, and food, as well as a handy grab n go cooler if you need something in a hurry. They also have a smoothie/juice counter at the south plaza Whole Foods from AM-early afternoon.
Read moreI go to the Troost location and particularly love the vegan autumn harvest bowl (seasonal), sweet potato curry, Brussels sprout nachos, sweet potato brownie (v and gf), and no crust pbj smoothie. They use fresh fruit in their smoothies, and no weird-tasting sweetener - just agave like our benevolent rat overlords intended.
My complaint is that I THINK they only use non-dairy milk in the shops, but wish that was posted clearly somewhere. Everything else is pretty well clearly vegan-friendly or not.
Pros: Thoughtful vegan options, Local, black-owned business
Cons: Not located at the new airport, but maybe someday?

Vegan Pancakes & Smoothie - Edit
We stopped here for breakfast and really enjoyed the vegan pancakes and the kale smoothie. There was plenty of vegan options marked on the menu. Loved the decor and the outdoor seating.
